When Sending Out Your Jammed Printer For Repair, First Remove Counterfeit Money

from the just-a-suggestion dept

Criminals don't have to be particularly intelligent, of course. However, if you're counterfeiting money -- lots of money, from what's being said -- and your printer gets jammed full of the fake stuff, you might want to remove the fake bills before sending it out for repairs. It appears that some criminals didn't think things through very carefully, leading to the investigation and arrest of a counterfeiting ring, that the FBI claims was responsible for 10% of all counterfeit money in the state of Arizona. Of course, what's scary is if a people like that could get away with counterfeiting so much for so long, just imagine what slightly more clever people might be able to get away with.

    "um...couldnt they just...BUY a new printer???"

they would, but they need the printer to work, so that they can print some money, to buy a new printer.

    its vicquite a conundrum.
