NetZero, Juno To Merge
from the free-together dept
NetZero and Juno, the two leftover "free" ISPs have announced plans to merge under the name United Online. This makes some sense, though it's still unclear if they'll actually figure out any way to make money. They'll continue to offer free services under the NetZero name, and paid services under Juno. Of course, if you combine two companies losing a lot of money, giving stuff away for free, it doesn't mean that they'll suddenly start making money.
