I feel robbed. For many years I propagated and grew plants and sold them. People have been able to enjoy the plants and their blooms for over 30 years, yet I got only paid once!
Should I not get money for each year the plant is enjoyed by the owners and the public that drive by and see these plants?
Where did I mess up and not somehow Patented that, Licensed the plants or ? I am losing huge amounts of money every year to all that are ripping me off.
All that hard and really, really, physical work I invested in these plants, sweating over them from the time they were babies till they were old enough to give to others to grow and enjoy. I worked much harder than these artists ever did to produce their commodity.
Yeah, their music, books, videos, dvds, songs, etc are nothing more than commodities. Since the RIAA, MPAA and all the others doing sh*at stuff, I have curtailed going to crap movies, crap concerts, buying crap music and crap movie dvd's. I can still find enjoyment listening and watching crap I bought years ago and watching crap on the tv. Why do I need something "NEW".
I know I am nothing but a small pebble thrown into the big ocean that does not even make an impression, but if enough small pebbles were thrown in, who knows what impression that could be made. Or maybe it has already started, lets take a look at some statistics:
Lets look at last weeks Box Office in the US: Top 10 Movie gross - only $125 million, @ $12.50 per ticket only 10 million people saw the Top 10 movies. out of 307 million people in the US. That is only 3.2499 % of the population. How many will go back for a second bite?

So lets look for the folks here at techdirt to keep reporting these follies and wait for these old dinosaurs to fall to the wayside as they look for the most absurd way to extract value and the last drop of blood from the masses and the poor workers. Meanwhile missing out on opportunities.
I think I am going to go to the store and start singing to myself. Wait that will only get me into the looney bin.

I do not give a crap anymore - very few companies get my hard earned Dollars for entertainment for their Movies, DVD's, CD's, Games, iPods, iPhones, Smart Phones and so on. Best as I can I am boycotting this crap that produces any real value.
But I have been able to set the Dollars I would have spent on this Crap aside and have gone on some sweet vacations, since this Nazi-like enforcement started.
How come we as a Country are chasing our Tails after IP Dollars that may be/have been uncollected or uncollectable and may not even have any value? Why are we wasting our resources on this [Courts, Attorneys and all that ilk]? While countries like China are breathing down our neck to overtake us as a World Power.
We need a better IP Policy just as we need a better Energy Policy.
Have you ever tried to get an idea as to what services you get with Comcast's Phone and the Channels you recieve for each level of service. I have called and e-mailed to get something - yet nothing is provided.
Yet @ the Dish site, you can print out a list for their various levels of channel offerings and compare with Comcast. And then make your decision.
It is almost like buying an Auto Insurance Policy. You are unable to review your coverage and all the attachments affecting the primary policy, until you spend your money. And each policy with each company is a little different.
Can we say found money? Federal and State Statutes provide remedies and I am going after these dufus's. Never received services from these Drs. nor has anyone in my family.
Googled the Collection Agency and they are up to their eyeballs in Litigation and most have prevailed for the debtor. [
The actual court awards, as filed with the Court are posted with all the gory details] Awards are in the thousands - some are statuary, others for Attorney Fees and others are for punitive damages. And the same Attorney's are going after the same Collection Agency.
I am even having collection agencies trying to collect on 20 year, paid off, debts.
With a little googling and research, finding this maybe a second income for me.

Even though I tried to attend all class sessions [I was paying for them myself, with no help from others], it was helpful as an additional study aid to have these notes, taken from someone else's perspective.
