Like everything at the top level of power and control in America, control of Music is power. Power in media, radio, TV, Film. Those who have it, have no interest in spreading it around.
The iMessage service says "end to end encrypted". That sounds to me like it's encrypted at the send device, and decrypted at the receive device. Also, a conversation can be deleted with 2 clicks. So there are unanswered questions. What does Apple store, and for how long?
Both CNet and Ars Technica print the news that Microsoft wants you to read. I doubt that the blocking of the award to DISH happened without Microsoft input.

Intellectual Ventures is itself a Microsoft shell company. It's all Microsoft, keeping its foot on the throat of the tech world to protect its 90% market share.

What makes me sick is that there are arrogant hater low-life gamer creeps in the world who will use anything they can to discredit Apple and its products because they want a world where only THEIR choice (Microsoft) of computer OS exists. They are sick egoists who can't stand to see anyone else "winning". Every "win" for Apple is a "lose" for them so they strike back every day with ugly comments in tech sites. The world is full of sick people like this.
