By shooting the "perpetrator" in the head next time, no doubt... :-(
Hitler is smiling from his seat in hell - he has won... :-(
If Github won't stand up for their users/supporters, then they don't deserve to continue in existence. Shame on you Github!
"We are the government. We are here to protect you. Get over it!"
Woo hoo! Over the top! Good going folks! Huzza!
Less than $20K now... :-) Looking good folks!
You may be anonymous, but you aren't a coward! Thanks for joining the PAC to end all PACs.
Ok. Dig behind your couch and seat cushions for some more and send that in too! :-) I am currently unemployed (thanks to Microsoft's takeover of Nokia Mobile Phones), but I gave at least $25. In any case, for whatever amount you did give, good for you!
Ok. Just checked with the Mayday web site and the deadline is midnight in Hawaii. So, we have a few more hours than I thought, but it will be close. Shake out your pants and purses, look behind your couch and seat cushions for some loose change, and send it in!
The Koch brothers will laugh all the way to the bank! It is OUR $$ that they are spending (from stuff we buy, like Bounty paper towels, gasoline, etc), so let's spend some to tell them to take a hike and don't fuck with our democracy!
We can do this. Giving $10 is only 2 lattes at Starbucks... Drink office coffee for 2 days, and you'll feel better about yourself!
Time to pony up folks! I don't know what time zone is relevant to the "deadline", but we only have a few hours yet to get this funded! If US WST (California), then it is about 8 hours to raise about $273,000.
For an organization the size of the NHS, switch even partially to Linux is a huge undertaking which would likely take several years, even if intelligently staged. At the least though, they should start creating WindowsLinux bridge servers (OpenLDAP, email, etc), supporting alternative user applications (Open/Libre Office, etc) and start migrating users to Linux. Once they get to some sort of "break even point", they can start retasking their Windows systems in bulk. Big costs in training though as by that point the remaining Windows users will be dragging their heels to change how they have worked for years...
That was my point. They were private citizens who had the right to privacy, hence anonymity. When elected officials, those rights change. Privacy, yes. Anonymity no. Just MHO. I suspect that Franklin, Paine, et al would agree. Now, I just have to get into my Way Back Machine to verify that! :-)
Just go suck some eggs! Take two aspirin, and call us at the end of the year... :-)
Anything he says in public should be public. People need to know what their public servants are saying in public, and commenting on a blog post or newspaper article should be properly attributed. If he were not a public servant, then let him keep his anonymity.
All in all, I favor the option of being anonymous on the web, but as I said, I believe this is one exception to the rule. The people who voted for him need to know what a crankshaft he is!
"who is behind"? Well, we know that SCOTUS is a bunch of behinds...
Today, most phone service is carried over internet backbones. The idea to change ISPs from being "information providers" to "telecommunications providers" makes a huge amount of sense to me! Let's regulate them accordingly!
Calling this idiot an idiot is an insult to idiots. Godwin is Ambassador to the US from GB? He should be more properly a trash collector in his town of residence, although that would be disparaging to the trash collectors of his town...
Anything that Comcast says and $5 will get you a nice latte at Starbucks
Anyone who believes anything that Comcrap says should invest in futures for a really nice bridge I "own" between Manhattan and New Jersey. It is a classic of the suspension form...
