But on the issue of the government brief exceeding the word limit for briefs filed in the Third Circuit, nothing was said as to whether the government lawyers sought, or not, the Court's permission to exceed the normal word limit. And the article only assumes that Mr. Auernheimer's attorney(s) needed to exceed the 14,000 word limit, and somehow were unfairly denied permission to submit a lengthier brief.
