If you think that overmilitarization of police forces is a problem, making it far more likely that SWAT (an intentionally paramilitary force) will be called in is probably not the best option.
It's odd to me that there is no mention of Google, Facebook, etc., also filing an amicus brief in this case, also emphasizing (as the EFF did) the fact that broad patents should be invalid, especially ones that are simply doing something "with a computer", etc.
That kind of patent is the kind that bugs me the worst... why does it make any difference that you do something on a desktop vs a laptop vs a smartphone? As far as programming goes, there is no real difference.
Okay, you clearly are an idiot... the GS3 is nowhere close to the same size as an iPhone 5. http://www.digitaltrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/iphone-5-v-samsung-galaxy-s3.jpg
If you can't tell an iPhone 5 from a GS III, it's you that has a problem, not Samsung... they're both smart phones, and they both have a glass screen, and that's pretty much the extent of the similarities.
