%10 of the companies market cap was a hell of a statement by the jury but just not a real number. 262 mill is still something to make them think about there actions. I am sure thier insureance company will make them pay over time. They always do..
Sony should have records of what the SN/Mac of the Ps4 he has by ref his online account and can tell who last used it. If the cops sold it of gave it away if its been used online its traceable.
I have seen a Ton of cheep android phones with completely useless GPS. Thats going to be a major garbage in garbage out probelem for an app like this.,
Can confirm Orange county California resident here. I am well aware of this.. and also some how manically have not gotten jury duty notice if over a decade. while stupider people i know get them every year..
Is't there like a 12 hour time limit from last finger print unlock before pass code becomes mandatory? I know after a reboot its mandatory also after so many bad fingers.
1) The Police should have turned off the phone immediately, and not turned it on again until it was in the cell phone examination room, which are usually faraday cages, for this very purpose. Sounds like the police mishandled evidence.
This chould make there job harder. I am an IT guy and I work with our company MDM. On Android phones at least if the phone is rebooted non of our remote commands will work till it loged back into with pin/password. Including our ability to remotely reset someones pin code. We have rather complext pin requirements and people for get there pins from time to time from using finger prints 99% of time. When they forget there pin and the rebooted there phones I have to tell them I hope you had you photos and such backed up because you are not getting them back. if they hav't rebooted i can send a command and poof your pass code is now 1234 and you have 15 min to pick a new one before the system kicks you out of company email :)..
Simple.. When there book rights revert back to them from being out of print for so long. (This is standard in publishing contracts) they can they turn around and put it up on Amazon print on demand.

I do wonder on that 5% stat being the same as court cases. I used to work for a major tech co and people would sue us over the stupidest things. I was the one people in charge of helping people with special cases. I had checks cut for 100's to 1000 of dollars some time due to some horrible issue where are product caused some sort of real damage (like causing a small fire) or Giving refunds or free products for lesser issues. If the user has a valid claim it was't a big deal. But some people would claim the silliest things like one of our software products that did't even install into the PC blew there pc power supply or made there cable modem fry Many of these jokers that I told that there claims were impossible or would demand insane compensation would sue us and get tossed by the first judge who looked at it. Frivolousness law suits are nothing new. I just don't know.
I don't get cable anymore but when I heard there was a new FMA reboot i went looking on the net for info. I found FA had put the 1st few episodes online. I like what i saw so i started buying the blue rays (3 so far). its comes out to be about 2.70 an show so about the same as HD itunes or amazon. And I have a disk I can resell if i get sick of it.

Not a terrible idea esp for streamers
I mean if a swatting call comes in for Ninja's place would't it be prudent for the cops to check his stream??
