  So because the FCC allowed the cable companies to buy content companies they are now using the content companies to jack up rates on each other via collusion or malice while customers pay.

  For me Comcast's live TV app on Android via my Comcast internet is a big buffering party.
  
  I get 1-2 min of via then buffer for ever. They don't play the commercials from the live TV station either which is odd. And if I try to reopen the stream I get a playback of what I had already watched.

  There is nothing patentable here. I bet they both used third party vision libraries to detect certain types of footage.
  Then all you are left with is automated video editing which is nothing new.
