    Grossly abuse your position, arresting(let's be honest, kidnapping) someone for saying something you don't like and keep them locked up for weeks and the terrible consequence is 'Quit or we'll fire you.' Non-consequences like that are why 'All Cops are Bastards' gained so much traction, because even when one of the 'few bad apples' according to their defenders does something abhorrent the most the rest can do is shrug their shoulders and hand out the threat of a slap on the wrist.

    Let’s start with this: just last week, MAGA loyalist Rep. James Comer released what may be the least self-aware report ever, screaming about how White House aides covered up Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline and because of that he didn’t know who he was pardoning, meaning those pardons should be null and void. Just in case anyone forgot in the last five minutes: Every accusation a confession, every self-given label a rejection of. Republicans have never had a problem with the idea of a deranged old man that almost certainly is literally suffering from dementia in the office of president, they just objected to the idea that it might not be their deranged and dementia-riddled old man in power.

    There's something deeply amusing about a whole slew of 'internet tough guys' creaming their pants at finally being able to put their violent and racist tendencies to official use only to have their faces rubbed in how pathetic they are physically as well as mentally.

    If Trump's only problem was that he was a harmless brand of crazy I might be inclined to buy the 'quitting is an overreaction, just wait it out' idea, but he's not, and the regime has already sent troops in to occupy US cities and made no bones about the fact that they will do it again and consider a sizable chunk of the US population as hostile enemies. At the rate things are going US military forces are going to have several options and choices to make, pulling the 'I was just following orders' card is not one of the valid ones.

    Not much to start with, but is it A start

    On the one hand it's one thing to say they'll refuse orders to deploy against US citizens, another to actually do that when push comes to shove, so I'm not sure how much credit I'm willing to give just yet given both are running for office. On the other hand their 'simple' act of publicly stating that they'll refuse the orders to deploy against US citizens is still leagues more than the rest of the US military has managed so far, so well done Demi Palecek and Dylan Blaha for managing to do what the entire US military minus you two is either too cowardly or willingly complicit to pull off.

    Let's see, less than a year in and we've got...

    Isolate the US from foreign allies through a mix of threats, trade-wars and belligerence and contempt shown towards them... Sabotage the US economy both short and long-term... Undermine the rule of law and attack both it and the constitution that the country is built upon, helping to delegitimize both in the minds of the public... Weaponize the US military against it's own citizens... Fan the flames of division by openly calling anyone not rabidly loyal to the regime enemies of the country, all but eliminating the ability for a unified front to any potential exterior threat to the US or one of it's (former) allies... As far as I can tell the only difference between Trump being a useful idiot for one or more foreign powers hostile to the US and Trump being a foreign asset for them is whether or not they had/have him on their payroll.

    The Trump regime are huge supporters and defenders of free speech and the first amendment. They firmly support their right to say anything they want without consequence, and just as firmly support your right to say anything they want without consequences as well.

    I have not received a response from him or his chambers. Silence can often be an answer in and of itself, and in this case Kavanaugh's silence speaks volumes.

    The regime is going to have a much harder time convincing anyone to play informant after they just showed that they will turn on those people in a second. I would say that will make busting criminal gangs harder going forward but it's not like the regime is going after actual criminals to begin with.

    There might be some symbolic value to having the governor of Arizona administer it, but in the interest of expediency they may want someone closer at hand. I suppose any judge in the courthouse would meet the requirement. If they really wanted to rub Johnson's face in it the arizona governor could 'just so happen to be in the area' when the ruling was issued and 'pop in' to do the swearing in.

    They don’t particularly want Nazis and other racists, and they are willing to make small actions to ban them. If they didn't want nazis on the platform then they would have kicked them out. They didn't do that, so by their actions they've shown that at a minimum they're fine with nazis, even if it doesn't reach the point of open support.

    Not what he said if you'd actually read the article, but it's really telling on yourself that you put 'espousing nazi views' and 'espousing polygamy' on the same level as though that's some sort of gotcha.
