  • India Moves Even More Of Its Healthcare Away From Western Pharma

    what if find ironic..

is all these Big Conglomerates, be it big pharma, big oil, big content.., they are stacking up an incredible amount of hashes in the lose column of late. with all their politicians bought and paid for, and still not getting their way, i would think they (being the lobbyist/shareholder/politician) would start to get annoyed at all the loss of money, being as greedy as they are.

what i found ironic was the fact that they are all being beaten with little to no expenditures on the part of the winners.. i like the direction, perhaps one inch at a time and we might just save this planet by moving into this century.

    so where is bob?

the usual troll spouting his bullshit that this is for the benefit of mankind and children, and this is best for the populace? 'we need this because of the children?' crap. the world is waking up to your shit. but you would not understand why this is no longer going to happen.

    I guess my point is..

im no arbiter, nor do i concern myself with punctuation, this isnt 3rd year english after all. i think you get the idea sans proper grammer, and yes i could use less vitriol in my postings, suggestion accepted. english is not my first language therefore i tend to vandalize it.

my point is the trolls here posting outright lies and cannot see the future due to present dollars clouding their views. they are inescapably trapped in an endless m?bius strip of circular logic that at times is frustrating. continuously repeating the same lie doesnt make it any truer.

my point is i disrespect copyright in an ever increasing degree, in direct proportion to the disrespect copyright monopolists attempt to enforce their will on my privacy, civil rights, and the pursuit of life for their imaginary property. i was once a purchaser of content, when it mattered, contained quality and was reasonably priced (think flea market). copyright is and will always be voluntary, just like any other law. it is a suspension of my natural god given rights, for a government granted privilege. since the monopoly privilege has been extended and extended, i am morally content to disregard this extension i had no say in, so archiving over 30 years of content i like is an equitable compromise to me, and refusing to pay for the content is my rebellion against so much theft from the public domain.

I may infringe, but they are actually stealing. I may download, but they are the criminals. As rigid as the copyright maximalists are in their position, so am I. And I feel none the shade lesser incorrect.

  • The Warehousing And Delivery Of Digital Goods? Nearly Free, Pretty Easy, Mostly Trivial

    surfer ( profile ), 07 Jul, 2012 @ 05:25am

    Re: Approaches zero

well, i build data warehouses, for many different industries, and I can tell you it ain't cheap, by any stretch. yes it is getting cheaper (Moore's Law) but physical space, climate control, electricity, connectivity, even wiring is all involved prior to adding any digital 1's and 0's. so marginal costs are not really approaching zero.

if you have/know an IT department, i invite you to ask them what their overhead is monthly. some data centers do in fact sell digital goods, most do not, and both have overhead. lots and lots and lots of overhead.

Spider Man 4 REALLY suxored, Snow White and the Huntsman? wtf were they thinking!!, TED, jfc, don't get me started on that pos. Brave? (another 30 million cartoon??!?!), Madagascar (3 of all things, as if the first 2 weren't punishment enough) a Kate Perry movie?!?, did all the writers in Hollywood die off recently? Project X, aka Babysitter, aka Animal House, or any of a thousand 'adolescent stupidity with boobs in it' movie, and MIB 3, horrible, mental anguish, reminds me of the tortures in Clockwork Orange. so let's check the scorecard, 1-2 semi decent movies last year (no Avatar isn't one of them), and 1ish decent movie this year, Avengers, oh, that's right, it hasn't opened here yet, pff, saw it already.

u know, some of us don't like stupid reality shows and fake wrestling.

to make my point, on what cable/dish/tv station can you watch the Silverstone race this weekend? anybody? (thankfully, i get BBC1) EU:1 US:0

    Re:

*sort of laughs* Got ya wound up eh, surfer?

ya, it's why i try to stay out of the comments, for what i consider normal behaviour, like not watching commercials anymore, is just something not understood. the only way to GET decent content anymore is to go global. watching the procession of tv show intros go from informative to ringtone so they could cram in another commercial is just mind blowing, and shows you where their priorities lie.

i don't pirate everything, just to be honest, stuff I like I pay for, like the Battlestar Galactica HD DVDs, but show me where you can buy Space 1999 or Project UFO HD DVDs? plenty of American Idol out there, but i am not unwashed masses designed to be spoon fed crap anymore. i heard they are doing a ripoff of married with children in russia and NZ, as if the original wasn't horrid enough, they are going to pander this shit to other countries because they did too much blow and ran out of imagination?!!?

I thought of telling marcus/leigh to go fuck themselves, but that might be a hermaphrodite conundrum.

'I work here', mm, like what you do is work. I guess if you get paid, it's work... but then, how do you brag to your friends? 'I write for a blog, that's my job', w0w, significantly impeding the flow of knowledge, without any real knowledge is not really flowing knowledge at all, is it? it's more like spewing opinion in editorials, which could be construed as sympathetic piracy support. so the copytard has a point.

should I use smaller words? i don't want to lose my target audience here.. mebbe Marcus is gay and likes to be the female Leigh, it's probable..

    Re:

you know, Mr. Masnick does a great job of consolidating relative topics to this blog, and yes, pirates frequent this site to distinguish the bullshit you are pulling out your ass. Whether this is for his own motivations or for informational purposes only, it gives good insight into the debauchery that you fucking lug nuts are stooping too in order to support your dying industry. He has neither stood for or against 'piracy' as you call it, but that is not the point, he is educating the masses, and in that he is doing well. Tools like Marcus are just impediments to the flow of knowledge, I can hack his/her shit if you like, but that is not the relevance of this blog. you get to post your idiocy, therefore so do i, the other side of the coin.

honestly, i think marcus/leigh is a spineless sycophant, unemployed and desperate to voice his jaded bullshit.

there are those that lead, and there are those that blindly follow, in all things.

  • Countries That Don't Put In Place Copyright Regimes The US Likes May Be Deemed 'Cybersecurity Concerns'

    surfer ( profile ), 29 Jun, 2012 @ 09:26am

    Economics

anyone not seeing this coming isn't paying attention. the US only has two commodities that nourish its' own GDP, and that is financial instruments and entertainment. there is no other viable product the US is capable of producing anymore. it used to be an industrial monolith, but China took that away, it used to be an electronics leader, but Japan took that away, including the automotive industry, thanks to the US rebuilding Japan after WWII. with the collapse of their financial industry in 2008 that nearly took out the entire planet, the only real item of profitability is fantasy and story telling from the music and movie industry.

this is the primary purpose behind their (MAFIAA) leverage on politics and influence over other countries. sadly, Hollywood is the main source of the world's entertainment, legitimate or otherwise. it is going to take another 10-20 years before other countries can readily compete with the savvy of Hollywood.

mark my words, or bookmark this post, because in our lifetime's you will see attacks on encryption such as VPNs, it will be listed as a means with which to circumvent totalitarianism being inflicted on the world. the statement will come from politicians very, very soon... 'if you are using a VPN, you must have something to hide, and therefore a terrorist/paedophile/murderer (insert current popular fear fanaticism here).
