  It it absolutely that. Some of it is actual fraud and corruption, most of it is probably pet projects they don’t want exposed, but that is absolutely what they are afraid of, that stuff being exposed.

  Don't pretend to know the mental state of other people.

  They’re not hackers, they were given admin access.

  They made other people give them admin access without proper authorization. That's hacking.

  And obviously you’re lying, since they’ve already saved several billion dollars.

  You’re confusing the authority to fire employees with the authority to audit the computer systems of the executive branch.

  The Trump admin themselves said Musk was an adviser and didn't have more authority than other presidential advisors. Accessing sensitive financial data about the government and the American populace would violate that authority.

  Meanwhile, DOGE was given authorized access to computers (as the USDS has done for years) by the President.

  The President of the United States has the authority to look into any system of the executive branch. He can therefore delegate employees to look into those computer systems, and report back on the waste, fraud, and useless government bureaucrats.

  Except, Koward, as the government has just admitted, Musk and DOGE didn't have the proper authority. How are you so bad at reading?

  Now, I’m not a coder, nor a reporter, but it just seems bizarre, to me, of identifying a person as being racist (without evidence, may I add)

  The claim literally links to an article laying out the evidence.

  The writer is detracting from his point about the competence of the coder.

  Is he? I'd say the details about the coders' competence(or rather lack thereof) hammer it home pretty well.

  People still refer to permissionless downloading as “piracy” and illegal (which it’s not in most countries), and have a general feeling of “wrongness.”

  I'm not sure that's true. Piracy is a copyright violation almost everywhere. Unless you mean de facto legal, then yeah.

  In theory. It’s such an absurd result that it’s hard to believe a court would uphold it; I’m not sure any company’s even tried. My point is, “you can’t sue for false advertising” is actually a much better clause than the usual “you can’t sue for anything ever”.

  Oh, no worries, Disney covered that as well.
