Ok so maybe I'm a little behind the times here, but last time I checked, cable internet was SEVERAL TIMES FASTER than DSL. Has DSL technology advanced past that in the past couple months?
PS i'm not implying that if something illegal is done with your info (ID theft, fraud, etc) is your fault; at that point the "thief" is to blame for his/her crime.
However, if someone finds out your information, and you simply don't want them to know.....
too fucking bad.
The fact that it's, often times, easy to find a person's personal information online DOES NOT mean that there should be legislation regulating the availability of said information.

I didn't bother reading the original article on this one, nor am I familiar with the series/movie.
As such I think you have a pretty valid argument there. So my question, now, is this: Did Zazzle take the shirts down of their own accord (regardless of the reason, cuz they'd be stupid not to reserve that right in there TOS), or did Viacom PRESSURE Zazzle to take them down?

WTF???
"I can offend you with whatever I say, but if YOU offend ME, I'll sue you for everything that your bloodline has ever been and ever will be worth."
That's a great distinction. Just because one is "the next big thing", doesn't mean that the other ISN'T popular.
What makes MySpace a failure is that they preach privacy, but there's no such security....But people still use MySpace, because it's simple and, probably more importantly, familiar.
Oh yeah and I have friends who have 10+ "official" PhD degrees from Harvard AND Yale....
and I can copy letterhead and trademark logos of different companies and create "official" documents.
No one is saying that it CAN'T be done, so what's your point?
"horrific offense against the world public "??????????
So they've accosted people? Placed the world public in concentration camps? What do you mean by "horrific"?
Or are you still bitching about tracking cookies?
Oddly enough I really can't find myself on google...but I CAN find my dopplegangers (yes that's plural)
Ever tried to google yourself? It's no longer a question of CAN you be found, it's how difficult is it to find you?
I agree with Fish that it's no longer "adequately explained by stupidity."
Malice? Maybe. Maybe not.
Greed? A contributor, at least.
Conspiracy? Well, if they really ARE after you does that make your paranoia no longer delusional?
"With Microsoft, winning is not enough. It's a zero sum game."
You seem to the good ol' Bill wants a Monopoly. Clearly you are mistaken. I think the evidence i've offered speaks for itself.
(just thought I'd use the same type of logic as Buiter for a sec)
My first internet xp was through AOL (::gasp::)
When I finally ditched AOL I actually asked someone wherethe table of contents for the internet was......
I finally got my answer....GOOGLE!!
Muldavi is better. But that's hard to get outside Hawaii.
I'd say it's a cut above head-scratchin. (pun intended)
