Yeah seems a few did. I was playing the role of the true AP believer, playing.
Really? I was being over-the-top. Sarcastically Ironic? Maybe a little?
Have you lost your mind?
Without them we would have a world devoid of all creative endeavors. No one anywhere at anytime would ever create anything that could be copied again.
There would be no new movies, no new music, software would never get improved, nobody would ever invent, create, design anything again.
Without AP laws how could any creative professional expect to make money?
Oh, yeah I guess Techdirt is not the place to make that argument.
The Ultra-Secure Laptop. Guaranteed data destruction if your computer is every touched by law-enforcement.
"Have data you need to keep secure from prying eyes? Don't want to have your stupidly kept documents incriminating you in court? Then buy the Ultra-Secure Laptop. Guaranteed to destroy all of your data the second any law-enforcement officer touches it!!"
Just have to work out the details now.
Where is the game industry? I haven't heard much from the game industry during the whole debate or companies in the game industry.
I wonder if that is because they are still in the innovation stage?
A concept relating to the different stages an industry will go through, from the first product entry to its eventual decline. There are typically five stages in the industry lifecycle. They are defined as:
i. Early Stages Phase - alternative product design and positioning, establishing the range and boundaries of the industry itself.
ii. Innovation Phase - Product innovation declines, process innovation begins and a "dominant design" will arrive.
iii. Cost or Shakeout Phase - Companies settle on the "dominant design"; economies of scale are achieved, forcing smaller players to be acquired or exit altogether. Barriers to entry become very high, as large-scale consolidation occurs.
iv. Maturity - Growth is no longer the main focus, market share and cash flow become the primary goals of the companies left in the space.
v. Decline - Revenues declining; the industry as a whole may be supplanted by a new one.

Don't denigrate him because he did something. Most Pols don't have a clue what they are voting for or against. Sometimes it takes a public outcry before they decide that they have to educate themselves on the issue. Give him credit regardless of the reason he came out against it.
Too often Pols just vote the line. When one steps out in any manner they should be praised.
I bet this has not won him fans in the gov.
Johnny Isakson. Mike I told him that a lot of websites are covering who is for and against the bill and that he could see himself covered all over the web if he comes out against it.
The only way that Google or Facebook or other major site could do this would be if they all do. Unfortunately, if they do try it without having a good number of the major site doing it the pols will get back at them.
As an AT&T customer I am also happy. If they would have been able to buy up the last major GSM based carrier than I only see bad things. IMHO.
Make sure you post your real name so that we can respond to you. Anyone that posts to a forum that allows you to use a pseudonym as Anonymous is just simply not worth reading.
Here is the Saxby petition.
Hey,
I just signed the petition "Saxby Chambliss: Vote against PROTECT IP " and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.
Our goal is to reach 100 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

Sounds like a fiction story of the last person in the world that could possibly understand the solution. Or what they are proposing as a solution.
They don't need to be killed. They need to be brought to justice for selling our children's future to the people that believe that it is best to take then it is to earn.
Please do. Also send thanks to Barney Frank for helping America by leaving.
17 Republicans, to 27 Democrats. Guess it's easy to follow the money from here.
Blast them in anyway you can.
I am so mad at the GA dumb-asses that I am going to start a recall movement. Saxby and Isakson will hear from me and WSB tomorrow.
but his own self? He is and always will be a take from those that actually work and give to those that will vote for me Democrat.
Bad people are taking our money because there is nothing legally now to help us make more money than we can. You buy or die, We kill you.
Don't always blow right or left. Chris Dodd is just doing what he want to get paid.

Don't forget campaign donations, paid-for lobbyist luncheons, and jobs for ex-senators.
