  Beyond Stupid

  This is just beyond stupid, if they start doing this, they're going to GUARANTEE a big market for piracy. The main reason I hacked my PS3 is because they put a rootkit update out, before that I was a good li'l boy and didn't mod it at all. This is disgusting.

  IF nothing else, the future generations of genius minds are going to realize that the "justice" system is their greatest opposition and will likely act pre-emptively to ensure their safety. Martyr is a good word for Swartz. They may have created a problem that didn't exist without their antagonism.

  Life is a waste of time, everyone dies and few really do anything to change the world.
  
  Recreational reading is a waste of time. Watching a movie is a waste of time. TV is a waste of time. Going for a vacation is a waste of time. Sleeping is a waste of time. And I could go on and on and on.
  
  Honestly, the pleasures and joys of life are what give life meaning. A video game for many of us is much more than just fragging aliens, monsters and soldiers, they are a new artistic medium for telling story, immersing people into a new creative experience. If you don't enjoy it, that's fine, you can do whatever else it is that you do enjoy.
  
  Play Backgammon, maybe, but you're still "wasting your time".
  
  Life is not always about work, raising children, creating children, and etc. How we enjoy life, is every bit as important as how we sustain it.
  
  The conclusion that video games can be violent, thus today's youth are becoming more violent as a result is flawed. If that were a true statement we would find MORE cases of violence throughout our community increasing as each year goes by. Not less, as many other studies are showing.
  
  The media is sensationalizing everything, and unscrupulous cretins are taking advantage of tragedy to shove their agenda down everyone's throat.

  Godawful Haircut

  Maybe they need to look into barbers and hair dressers as the cause for this damn tragedy. I mean look at the haircut on that kid the media keeps showing around! His head looks like a Darth Vader helmet. I'd be pissed too if I got a haircut like that and everyone was flashing that picture around. Those damn barbers and their irresponsible scissors are going to be the death of us all.
  
  Unless his mom gave him the haircut. Then we should be removing all children from parents who wield scissors and have them raised by the state with proper, reasonably fashionable haircuts. No more hair rage!

  If I could get 1Gbps service AND fully use it, I'd be on that ship in a heartbeat. Hell, if Google was in my town, I'd jump on that in a split second. Google's treat me far better than any telecom.

  Not on the list of best employers to work for...

  With that kind of attitude from the management I would never want to work for Cisco. Yes, their business might put food on the employee's tables, but also - without their employees they don't have a business for very long.
  
  There had to have been a much better way to handle this than all this blustering and threatening.
