Oh, how much collateral damage is acceptable?!?
Is it okay if 10% of the people put to death by the state are innocent?
Is it okay if 20% of the people who're serving life sentences are innocent?
Is it okay if 50% of the people stuck in the bullshit 'felon parol' system never did anything illegal?
Where does one draw the line on acceptable collateral damage?
Who needs porn when you can have the Secret Service ship prostitutes to/from the solitary jail cells?
My entitlement cuts both ways!
Somebody is entitled to payment for something nigh infinitely reproducible; and somebody else is entitled to something nigh infinitely reproducible for nothing more than the time & bandwith cost.
Who's wrong, who's right, who cares?
The USTR, being a lobbying group, has no business having access to treaty negotiations anyhow.
Three words: "Trial By Jury"
It barely matters what the law is in a jury trial--if you can bullshit the jury into your way of thinking, then you win.
For reference: see "The Chewbacca Defense"
Seeing the level of theft they're engaging in, they're obviously attempting to start their own government.
All we need to do is point this out and then watch the military respond to this 'national treasonous threat' on CNN... everybody knows the governments of the world won't brook any competition.
The machine readability and data encoding possibilities of QR codes are far superior to 'ye aulde' barcode.
Seriously, the barcode should be retired, and replaced with something more modern. To whit: the QR code.
Didn't some country mint a 100th anniversary coin and put a QR code on it?
Actually had a police officer come up behind my friend & I while we were pulled over on the side of the road setting up GPS navigation... put his lights on and everything.
Low hanging fruit, I guess.
The answer to your initials queries boils down to "individual responsibility."
The individual person/company who uploaded a whatever to your ineptly dubbed 'aggregation site' is the one responsible for it's content--eg the party to be sued for having done something illegal.
Likewise, the individual person/company who send a fraudulent (whatnot) DMCA is the one responsible for it--eg the party to be sued for having done something illegal.
Ta-Da! Logic is easy and fun.
This comes back around to education--most people never truly internalize mechanisms of logic, spotting fallacies, and reasoning.
If there were an well educated populace, then such a party would likely be the forerunner.
Hmm, I think I've just reasoned out why the educational system sucks AND why it's not going to improve.
I don't know about you--but when my cow gets all dried up, sickly/dead looking, I abandon all thoughts of maintaining an undead cow and instead look to get a new cow...
Like colostomy bags, breast implants, cupcakes, formula, water, toothpaste, lighters, nail clippers...
I suspect if depriving somebody of an item represents a loss of dignity of any sort, then the item represents a "terrorist" threat and must be confiscated.
And that's why you pick an innocuous password like "please don't hit me anymore"--so even when drugged & beaten, they'll have your password and keep beating... you.
Hmm, maybe I didn't think that one all the way thru.
So, tell me--would an article about parachuting be an implicit endorsement of gravity?
Or is it just somebody talking about something they do--something they do which happens to be consistent with reality?
If we're lucky, we'll get a few robot lawyers out of it... what's the worst that could happen?
;-P

If you've nothing substantive to add, please contemplate deeply upon the value of keeping silent and observing how events proceed.
