Hello Coward!
why we have all these efforts to create ways to punish companies when their users break the law.You do know that's the most intensely stupid thing ever, right? You think we should sue the Dollar Store every time a person uses a cheap screwdriver for something illegal? You think we should jail McDonalds the moment some McDonalds customer kills their neighbor with the fossilized remains of a Big Mac? Just because something is "on the internet" doesn't mean it's now magical and can be done instantly. Here's an easy one: If you cannot/should not do it IRL in front of you, then the same applied on the internet. Think!
"It seems like a pretty clear case of what's good and right, and spying on journalists' communications is generally considered not right."One could make the logical argument that spying on any citizen; regardless of their function in society; is likely a key step towards a martial-law/fascist governance...
So nobody there could figure out how to convert the video to something suitable for YouTube?
I'm betting somebody already had the pirated copy, so it was just easier to use it instead. ;-P
Came here to say this, glad to find it before I got to.
Insightful, and well written.
Thank you.
Just the latest in crap from our 'gubment' employees.
I think an unregulated Senate/Congress is far more dangerous to my rights and liberties than any video-game ever has been.
We can hope this will set a global precedent concerning stupid EULAs and the enforceability thereof...
I sure by this point pot and kettle are old friends...
Anonymous, wherever you are, do please keep up the good work.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
I'm pretty sure they cycle in new trolls every 8 months or so...
"Who ever decided that regional licensing restrictions in a digital market makes good business sense needs to be shot/educated."
Sadly, the life-spans of the wealthy and powerful are around, what, 90+ years nowadays?
Asking a corrupt organization to investigate itself? What good will that do?
I'm not convinced it was a suicide, more likely it was make to look like a suicide...
Sometimes your randomly concocted word formulations resemble ideas... but maybe I'm just picking out patterns where none exist.
Do you have a point? Maybe you should try the "honest contribution" rather than the "crazy person yelling" approach, it could sway more people.
There's a thought!
Given that we know the per song extortion, if we can find how the precise file size, we could calculate a average "cost per byte" and "cost per bit" to determine how much she's being charged (on average) for every 1 or 0.
Then, compare/contrast to the cost of other things (Photoshop, or some such) provided we also calculate the cost per bit of those as well.
As governments become less necessary (and this becomes apparent to the public at large) their death-throes will get worse, as they vainly struggle to scare and convince everybody they're still needed...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Not the whole story -- now includes ZOMBIES!
What? I've been busy.
