We already knew that Barbie was a crappy programmer...

TechDirt has overblown something to get ratings?
No way!
Oh, who am I kidding?
That's why you don't buy TCL, Insignia or Westinghouse...
ESPN always has been and still is a 720p channel.
If your TV is upconverting it poorly... well, I'll just stop right there.
Funny. Just last week someone accused ESPN of catering only to far-right-wingers...
Same thing. I only have cable because of my 78-year-old father. If he didn't live with me, I would have cut it ages ago.
My daughter mostly watches Netflix or CrunchyRoll. My wife has shifted all her viewing to Netflix or YouTube. The few shows we do watch (Flash and Arrow, for instance), we could easily watch for free at CW.com.
If it weren't for my dad, I would have cut my $100+ Dish bill long ago.
For now.
I have a friend that bragged to me that he would get only basic cable for only $19.99 and that he would always be diligent about calling them and getting it reduced.
I talked to him last weekend and he's now spending $95 a month. So much for that.
When these idiotic tech companies stop voting against their own interests.
They always vote Democrat and right now that means Feinstein. She's been anti-technology as long as I can remember but they keep fundraising for her.
Still a mistake, but they handled it 10× better than Lenovo.
* Admitting it was wrong
* Thanked the researchers (instead of attacking them)
* Apologized
* Offered clear instructions to fix the problem
But one guy on Reddit did this. He got in touch with them for his home music server and they set him up.
Kim Davis going to jail for following her conscience ISN'T an attack?!?
She went to JAIL for her religion. Even the Pope recognized this attack on religion and met with her. And it was proven in court if she were ANY other religion besides Christianity, accommodations would have been made (and have since been made).
Actually, religious institutions are explicitly mentioned in copyright law as an educational environment where you CAN share these types of materials for learning purposes.
All these "Christian" organizations trying to peddle their wares don't seem to understand the "Fair Use for Education" exemption.
They don't need to worry about Customer Retention. The customers have nowhere else to go...
In the "food" category, no, you can't trademark Apple, because it's generic.
In the computer category, it's unique.
The parade of horribles is that only established players like Dish can offer internet streaming of cable channels. And only because they slipped it into their many public channel disputes on their satellite services.
Government regulations that kill small players like Aereo and strengthen established near-monopolists like Dish are very bad policy indeed.
It's not. The case would have been thrown out immediately.
But good luck to Mr. Salazar on getting any of his stuff back. No checks and balances on that.
And I REALLY hope he was ACTUALLY a drug dealer...
They don't want a conviction.
They just want a license to steal.
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
I'll sing this in public if I want to
Happy Birthday to You
I have my ethics intact and I am doing just fine.
But whatever you need to do to excuse your evil...

Courts absolutely hate "bad faith" tactics.
