So... That means she's basically threatening South Park. Ya know, those guys who basically challenged The Church of Scientology to sue them.
There are a few people in entertainment I would not challenge.
1. Matt Stone and Trey Parker: South Park
2. Joe Rogan: Just check out You Tube videos. That guy will tear you apart psychologically and if necessary physically as well.
3. Kevin Smith. Who wants to mess with Kevin Smith?
So she better hope they lose interest before the next season comes out...
Seth Mcfarland of Family Guy got to interview Lucas based on the spoofs that were created for Family Guy. You could tell McFarland was in ecstasy just being in Lucas' presence. Despite my feelings about what he has done to the franchise, I think I would feel the same.
McFarland tells Lucas that he loves his films and he has all of them on DVD. Lucas replies that he loves Family Guy and has all the episodes on Tivo... At that point Mcfarland maintained his grace but you can see his expression twist from awe to "WTF? Seriously? Tivo? I buy your movies and you copy my TV show? Lucas was totally shameless about this... A little continuity please Mr. Lucas.
When anyone has anything bad to say about my handwriting...
I'd love to know what Lennon would say today. He truly was a visionary for his time. The man was able to communicate ideology through music in a way that almost no one could misinterpret. He was a talented artist, even if you didn't like his art...
As for The Beatles, say what you want about them. You may not like their music and that's fine. But to deny the impact they had socially is absurd. Furthermore, to deny the impact they had on music is completely ridiculous. I wish I could assemble a reel of all the musicians who have cited them as influences.
Last night when the news broke, a buddy online told me. I went to Google news to check out the stories and noticed that the oldest story at the time was from TMZ. There were about 400 articles 15 minutes after the news broke and of all the news agency's TMZ got the story out first... Not saying they were actually the first but they were on my Google news page...
Yes. Yes it is an interesting world...
If he wasn't suing for damages I would have much more respect for his protest. This just tarnishes his message. I feel lawsuits such as this are an exploitation of our laws.
In protest of laws that are being manipulated under the guise of our safety, he is manipulating laws that were created to prevent persecution and injustice...
The owner of Krasnodar Magazine isn't laughing at all. In fact, if you check out the comments section for the linked article Yury has taken personal responsibility for the mistake and apologized.
I agree that it is questionable whether this really qualifies as copyright infringement and it doesn't warrant litigation. But from an artist and business perspective it is very bad behavior. I would not work with an artist that was willing to so blatantly copy a design and a publisher should be looked at with great scrutiny. However, as I mentioned Yury has apologized directly and publicly. I think the issue should be pretty much over following that.
Find out who created it and/or whoever was aware of the similarity. They should suffer the appropriate consequences within their trade.
Wouldn't it be more patriotic for Nascar to allow military sponsorship for free?
Do you really want a connection between the two in the MIDDLE of the Atlantic ocean? Sounds to me like that would be asking for the weakest point to be located farthest from any possible repairs...
Gang members and Thugs? really? Talk about being disconnected from modern society. One of the wealthiest CEO's in the world wears a hoodie every day... I happen to wear them quite a bit as well, around the house, going down the street to the store. Often times I even have sunglasses on when it's overcast. The reason being is I am usually thinking about something and don't want to be distracted. Assuming that clothing choice determines behavior is absurdly narrow minded...
But, but, Think of The Children!
Oh wait, wrong topic and wrong side of the argument. But I figured an emotional plea was relevant in this situation.
I'm sorry but it is not just a nostalgic experience. In many situations it is a social experience. I remember seeing Shaun of The Dead in theaters. The entire audience was enjoying the movie so much that it contributed to my experience. Seeing a movie is an experience whether at home or in a theater. Being surrounded by other people can improve that experience. It also can ruin the experience...
But it is a gross overstatement to say that the only point in going is ritual.
The correct term is Retouching. Also, graphic artists are net necessarily retouchers, they are different disciplines. To call retouching "photoshoping" is like calling every soda "Coke."
They did an absolutely abysmal job of "RETOUCHING..."
It's a great phone and Android offered the specific alternatives that I desired when comparing to Apple.
That said...
I will never buy another Motorola product until I am confident this will not happen on future devices.
I don't think it will lead to a release. The amount of work required to start a production like that up again, using existing assets is tremendous. By the time they actually assemble a new team, get them up to speed and back to work, the engine and original game art will be too dated.
Forget the "gun laws in the area" part. I see someone in plain clothes, no lights, no readily visible badge "hang it around your neck and over the center of your chest maybe" I don't care what the gun laws are, I would assume psychopath.
Ironically, what happened here reminds me of something that happened in my neighborhood recently. A guy in a van stopped his truck suddenly in front of a neighbor of mine in the early evening. He jumped out with a gun mugged my neighbor and took off.
That is what I will assume is happening if a guy jumps out of his car with a gun.
I have had nothing but disdain for Disney over the past years.
When Disney purchased Pixar many important things happened. The most important being that John Lasseter was named Chief Creative Director. This has changed Disney and the culture of Disney dramatically.
Fortunately, sales figures from the past year are very relevant. Particularly when they show that reduced prices can often lead to increased revenue.

I have an account with steam and many games. I'm downloading Far Cry 2 as we speak. EA's DRM upset me. primarily becuase of the 2 or 3 install limit. Valve allows you to install your game on as many machines as you like and play on any one of them when you like. When I get a new computer or reinstall windows all I have to do is download steam which will install all of my games. Steam is very convenient actually. Don't trash em.
Re: EA - what are you thinking??
I couldn't agree more... I have a pretty huge Steam library. When Origin came out and announced title exclusivity I was pretty annoyed. They caused a game I bought to get yanked out of my preferred service "Crysis 2 yanked from Steam" and to get it back I had to download and install Crysis 2 from Origin.
That's it... Origin is off my system and will not be retuning. I'm a huge bc2 fan but I will not be getting battlefield 3 or any other Origin exclusive titles. I play with 6 other guys who are also big bc2 fans. They are going to do the same. Convince your friends not to get any Origin exclusive titles and it will eventually go away...
