?what am I suppose to do, ignore that he is a prick, that he has probably hassled and annoyed people all through his career, and then likely gets very pissed off when they don't do what he wants them to do RIGHT NOW??
You know, so what if he was such a prick, the record labels didn?t have to keep working with him, there was nothing forcing them to keep putting up with his personality.
If your customer, or reseller, can but your product from you, at your price, and then sell if for cheaper to someone else and not go out of business, aren?t you doing it wrong
If you needed the job and the interviewer was telling you that you need to supply your login information, would that count as providing information under duress?
please don't sue me... cause I just stole your post
No actually I am telling you that you illegally obtaining music is STEALING. I am using analogies becaue you have been brainwashed by anti-copyright propagandists (actually Masnick et al are anti-IP). Just because you can take somethign without paying and it does not remove something from the market does not mean that it isn't illegally gaining access to something to which you are NOT ENTITLED.
I think your forgetting that even though the rights holder may get to ?select? a price for their product, that does not mean that their product is worth that. If a consumer thinks your price is higher that what the consumer feels your product is worth, then generally they won?t buy (or maybe they will buy but feel ripped off).
Now on the other side of the coin, if a consumer thinks your price is much lower then what they feel the product is worth then the consumer will go and buy the product (and even score a bit self satisfaction for a great buy and who knows they may even tell others about it).
if the form is on the server, then the form would contain where to sent the phished(?) data, so wouldn't be more usefull to follow the "money" trail to catch the people responsible?
Try that again,
?Let's say there is a guy in the(newyork branch of the) youth hostel you live in with a gun. He is holding police at bay. The police remarkably stop you from getting back to your bunk (in Seattle) .?
I don't know, but wouldn't the police check the video cameras in the hotel first? and ask questions of the staff (and if not involved get their help) before locking the front of the building

Bring on the Tacocopter
This would be a most welcomed delivery method, as i can now get a taco while stuck in traffic

Re:
I'm sure the RIAA & the MPAA could afford that (if they weren't losing so much money from piracy)

...and raping a pig and filming it may not land some(people) in jail in other places

I find hypotheticals to compare physical world issues to digital issues are often like line graphs involving x^2, X3 etc where the point(s) crossing the y axis are your base arguments for why the digital world is the same as ?insert situation.?
Nether the less I have adjusted your hypothetical to be more accurate to this issue

I can see it now from the MPAA...
"Schizophrenic's will have to buy a copy for each personality that wishes to watch our disks*"
*discamer, only currently applys to digital versatile disks. other disk types will be added at a later date
