  Just to be clear, this is all utter and complete nonsense. Their reporting isn't criminal. It's certainly not "slanderous." This is Nunes throwing shit at the wall rather than responding to a serious journalist's question.

  The referenced statement (and Nunes' related statements/actions) made me think- is he setting himself up to be the next Republican Presidential candidate?

  T-Mobile's magenta is #e20074 according to the CSS on their website. Lemonade's color is #c94bac, according to the picture above. This gives a color distance of 96.9, which seems significant. When the two colors are next to each other the difference is clear.

  IANAL, but I would guess that those charges wouldn't be appropriate for a federal indictment. Also possibly the county prosecutor was trying to reduce liability for the county from the inevitable civil lawsuit, or was waiting to file those charges until after the federal case was finished. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

  Great way to have laws regarding misconduct of public officials moved to the back of the book, somehow now appearing after the new set of laws similar to "The official, grand, and official act on allowed and permitted verbiage and words allowed and permitted to be used by the public, a complete and thorough listing of these words, and the definitions of these allowed and permitted words, Part 1."
  Just imagine that being read slowly, over and over throughout November and December... Actually might be about the same as what usually happens then...

  I think you meant "the infringer liable". Puts the problem in a different perspective, though- instead of the first infringer (the poster of infringing content), or the final infringer (the company hosting the link), we should be giving the big media companies the middle infringer.

  Two more levels and they will be able to arrest Kevin Bacon.

  Given the quality of this ruling, it would be more appropriate to arrest Turkey Bacon.
