    Sure, email addresses are public by themselves (just as phone numbers and home addresses), but meaningless without an association with a person. The association between a person and an email address is not intended to be public knowledge unless the person decides to make that information available.

    Exactly right... except for the fact that the email addresses that Apple collected were not intended for public distribution. If you want to give out your email address to the world then that's your decision. No one else should make that decision for you.

    But since you obviously don't mind people knowing your private contact information, may I have your cell number too? Just leave it here in this thread and I'll write it down later. Thanks.

    What has your experience been with internship programs and training interns?

    I've only been on the receiving end of an internship (called a co-op around here). My college requires all students to complete 3 semesters of co-ops and when students get back we all share our stories. From these stories I've learned that companies probably should make sure their co-op program is strong if they are even going to attempt one. Most of what I hear is "I did nothing. It was boring." If I ran a business and were paying for co-ops I would make sure I would never give them the chance to utter those words. Otherwise I would be losing money (granted co-op money is not much in comparison to your employees). I know this is a tangent topic, but I figured I would share.

    Do you think labor laws need to be adjusted to reflect more current trends in the workforce?

    I think the law covers this topic well enough. I haven't heard of any big problems coming out of this topic, though I certainly haven't been looking. Maybe there are more problems underneath the surface?

    Expand the Domain?

    In my experience with online games (PC) I've found that this honesty has held true for all the online friends I've later met in real life so far. This hasn't surprised me at all (my parents on the other hand lol...). I've always figured most everyone was just an average person using the Internet like myself. Any one else ever meet online friends before and found the same results (or not)?

    So if the band doesn't push CDs for fear of piracy then will they stop radio from playing their songs? No Youtube of live shows? Etc, etc? I guess they don't want to be heard... if so, then are they really a band any more??? It will all get leaked out one way or the other unless they really don't want to leave their bubble.

    Oh well...

    My guess is that they print this stuff on 3-hole punched paper and when a document comes in upside down they can't turn the page because of the holes are on the other side. I'm not sure if they're required to keep a paper copy (I guess yes), and if so they just keep them in binders.

    //Not trying to say that the Patent Office is not strange for taking the time to tell the guy 'poor submission' rather than fixing it themselves.

    Who in their right mind would pay the same amount of money, for less product?

    I generally agree with what you say, but you forgot to take convenience into account. By downloading I don't have to pay for the gas to go to the store and I save time by not having to drive into town. Is all that still worth the $0.99? No way! I stopped buying downloads and now buy CDs online. It's not relatively fast but it makes for fun surprises in the mail when I forget that I ordered them lol...

    My motto today has been "iPad, more like iFad." I really fail to see how this device will catch on beyond branding. I read that the device can't multitask. Makes sense if they want to extend battery life, but this seems backwards. Aren't we all accustomed to multitasking? I thought multitasking is a feature most people would want. Throw in the other silliness discussed above I just don't understand how anyone could justify $500 for it.

    Hmm...

    I'll give this a go. My guess is whoever managed the project to give the chimps the camera. I figure the chimps are (should be?) viewed as tools of the manager in this case, and tools can't own copyright (right Mr. Camera Stand?).

    Who is buying a tablet?

    My engineering school requires all students to have tablets (at the cost of the student...) to use in the classroom. Other than the computer engineering majors, every one has found little use for them. Most departments have failed to capitalize on the technology consistently for two years (my guess is that less than 10% of professors have given it a serious thought), and those who have tried have just simply treated it like it was a pencil and paper.

    I personally enjoy my tablet, but it's not for everyone. I think most people (non-students) will find them a bit silly and awkward to use for entertainment purposes. For learning, it can be an excellent tool if a school has a strong plan from the start. Otherwise I'm tempted to say it's a fad and certainly will have no impact for newspapers as Mr. McElhearn believes.

    Widely accepted you mean lol...

    I don't know if iTunes changed the music industry forever. I would say file sharing will have the greatest impact and might shrink iTunes to nothingness. Then again, I guess if they keep selling iPods then people will still have to use it... Stupid holes in my plans :(

    Some Guitar Hero songs used to be sung by other bands but that changed with Guitar Hero World Tour. Not 100% sure about rockband.

    Okay, so I have to ask because I seriously don't know, but what's wrong (if anything at all) with the "If you aren't doing anything wrong..." argument? I hope whoever responds will be kind enough to explain a little or supply a link I can read further about. I'm not looking to get yelled at please...
