  Speculation

  This article reinforces my first opinion of the vote on the Amash amendment. The 217 to 205 vote with 12 abstentions is very revealing. The vote was a vote to send a message. The vote is dead even if the abstentions vote in favour or Pelosi and her loyalist vote the way they did in the past. The message to the administration seems clear. Today the House had the votes to kill NSA domestic surveillance. So fix this problem or the next vote will go against the administration.

  How I would do it

  Snowden has said that his preparations are more subtle than a deadman switch. What would be very useful for him is to have timed release of data over which he would have no control. So someone could grab Snowden torture him and it would be pointless because he himself would not be able to stop the release of data. The train will just keep going down the track.

  Both Feinstein and Verrilli lied each in their own special way to achieve their ends in the particular situation they were in. Feinstein aka The wicked witch of the west never met a constitutional or privacy right that couldn't be compromised or destroyed to help the security of OZ.

  The reason for the parent's negative view of the book is probably due to the portrayal of authority figures in a nasty way. I read this is taught in some military academies. The book is very powerful. I read it when I was 18 and had nightmares afterward. I can see a parent saying it was to mature for middle school kids but porno it's not. This is a book that should be read.
