Taxpayer funding doing the opposite of what you'd expect?

I expect taxpayer funded effort to be actively trying to help taxpayers.

To me that means identifying problems, proactively working to fix those problems.

This is the opposite of some of what's happening.

It's been going on at least since they got as close to killing Zimmerman, for inventing PGP, as they dared.

I don't believe government cryptographers have such a defeatist attitude that they want to prevent cryptography. So who made these decisions?

It assumes that only Americans are worth considering

The mental straight jacket of the national state, rears it's head yet again.

This is only about Americans. It implicitly declares open season on non citizens and maybe citizens living abroad.

Another slap in the face for decent people who have the temerity to not be US citizens.

    Mistrust of the Government

The thing that strikes me here is the mistrust and paranoia (justified) that I see.

A few people (in the law, elected reps, management of the securocracy) have started the rot that is progressively destroying faith in government and business.

A slogan of the US, is mutating into something like:

Government of the sheople, by the devil, for the psychopaths.

Sad. I believe that the majority in the occupations that are starting to stink are decent people. The organisations that made this happen, are, in their present states, not fit for purpose in the current age.
