  4th Amendment and Travel

  So let me see if I understand. The 4th amendment still applies while traveling, except when using one of the following means:
  
  Aircraft
  Bus
  Train
  Subway
  Ship
  Car
  
  If you whiners don't want to be harassed, just avoid these.

  That guy was BSing you. It is actually nearly impossible to steal wi-fi this way. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to use IP addresses to uniquely identify people. It's much easier to just keep the default router settings.
