  I wanted to like the ceremony. I tried to watch it. Finally, I had to turn it off. It was really awful. It's pretty obvious that directing a film and directive live presentations require different skill sets.

  Are you suggesting that audio electron are faster that video electron? Or that the audio is transmitted terrestrial and the video over satellite? I don't think either of those are true

  That's why they delay the audio and embed it in the video before it is sent. Then the receiver (decoder) delays the audio yet again while the video is being decoded. This problem was solved decades ago.

  IF she filmed the crime, as a witness she would be required to provide a copy of the video to the police. Not the device that took the video. The police don't want to be filmed, but they know it is legal. Therefore they are going to harass people so much that people won't do it any more, because it is so much trouble.

  In the raising of my children, you are not a stakeholder. I pay you to educate my child, so you are a supplier. You are a stakeholder of the process in your school or district.
  
  I am in no way trying to minimize your role. You are probably a good teacher, as most of may children's teacher have been. But there have been a few that have to be reminded of their actual role. And it really makes me angry when I read this "it takes a village" nonsense.
  
  My daughter says that only four out of her seven teachers actually teach. Some show videos, and others just assign reading from the book.

  I have downloaded stuff via torrent that I already pay for on my FIOS and/or Netflix.
  
  Many of the VOD titles do not let you fast forward or rewind, and they add commercials to something I am paying for.
  
  I travel for work frequently - Hotel WIFI often blocks streaming or if not fast enough anyway. And when I travel out of the country, forget it.
  
  If I could sync my tablet at home and cache stuff from my playlist, I would not be downloading it. Simply put, the content is available for free, and there is more content available than ever before. Every site they manage to block results in 10 new sites. If they would shift their attention to the actual delivery of the product, they could continue to make money. When I pay to subscribe to a service I should be able to use it when I want, wherever I am, on whatever device I have with me, or the service is worth nothing to me.

  Saying piracy hurts theatres is like saying giving people rides are hurting car sales. I used to go to the theatre for the experience. I don't go very often any more. If they want me to come back, they need to
  1. Clean the theatre.
  2. Install cell phone jammers or toss people out who use them.
  3. Make the screens bigger again. These multiplexes have gone too far.
  4. Show a cartoon or something, and get rid of half the commercials. Bring back the serials!
  5. In short, bring the experience back.

  It's not illegal until it is proven to be illegal. You need a court for that. The problem here is not that the domain was seized, it's that there was no due process.

  If you can sue over this, I have a few movies to sue over. The trailers led me to believe the movie was good. It wasn't. I don't see movies at theaters much anymore anyway. Tiny screen, cell phones, bad equipment, focus problems, and dirty chairs and floor make me want to stay home.
