I think this probably has less to do with control, and more to do with Amazon charging publishers for the wireless fees when users buy books or periodicals thru the 3g.
I've read articles in the past where publishers cite this as the reason they have not created more periodicals for the Kindle.
Are we sure this isn't simply the worlds greatest excuse thought up by the worlds greatest hoarder?
Exactly - given the choice between food and clean water or watching videos of cats in funny situations - I vote for the food and water.
I wonder how many of those new domains are people who never had a godaddy domain and are registering to be part of the boycott?
I thought about it....
Calling you a dirty boy might not have meant he was selling soap.
I will be setting up a new profile for the sole purpose of getting the only empty row on the plain.
Anyone want to sit next to Matt "I'm afraid of flying and want to release some tension"
I paid the same and didn't even need to download the album.
Maybe I missed it, but I don't think he ever said he wouldn't sale the rights to some company to print DVD's and put it into stores, or let netflix rent it out. In stores might be a hard sale - who wants to buy a dvd when you can get it for $5, but netflix and other streaming services would be a no brainer.
I think in the future he should do these things as it will only help him to increase the long term revenue.
@John - this is the first time I have heard of the difference between "thin" and "thick" copyright.
Is this an actual legal term used? I'm finding the differences (as explained in this article) to be quite interesting, and for the first time in a long time can see where some aspects of copyright may actually make sense.
My guess is that ICE has more Spanish translators than Chinese.
sorry - that was supposed to be in reply to an earlier comment from eejit "It's also innovative to be a true democracy, but we don't have that either."
Not sure what that had to do with me commenting that rolling.fm allows those of us outside the US to access it whereas turntable.fm does not.
Ok.....not sure of the relevance but Ok.
It's innovative to let in non-US users.
According to sportpilot.org it's only $3-5000 and 20 hours of time in the US.
Yeah it sounds like alot but I live in the Czech Republic where it takes around $1000 and I think (not sure of the exact time) 40 hours of driving to get a car license.
So to me this looks extremely reasonable :)
Heres' everything you need to know about renting an airplane - http://bit.ly/mWhWaN
Not knowing your tasts I would suggest checking out Getim SteveDave and the original SmodCast. SteveDave is a little more laid back (and doesn't have Kevin on except for special appearances very rarely), and SmodCast is Kevin and Scott Mosier, talking alot of times about the movie business.
Re: Re: Re: I see it the other way
I'd say they have issues whether christian or not.
