    I can see it now, all the online pocker sites will be proxied, use high grade incyiption and the pocket sniffer on earth will know what you are doing. Then all you gotta do is fund you account like you normally would -- through a foreign CC, and you're set. I have better ways to spend my money, but please tell me -- off all the starbucks and MS employees over there -- you think anyone will ever be dumb enough to get caught with this stupid law. This is politics as usual, with no real means and or ideas of enforcing these laws. Waste of time and tax payer money. Can we get these politicians a leasson on how the internet works, because it would seem they're all functioning like it's 1992.

    Lobbying

    It is a discusting part of American politics, but the US government does not belong to the people it belongs to the corporations that have paid for it and want to get their moneys worth, so yes they want these sites shut down. Now the only reason that this doesn't get people pissed off is because this is a techy hard to understand issue for 90% of the population -- websites getting shutdown for torrents -- aggregation -- digital music legal/illegal ... you loose Joe Sixpacks' attention pretty quickly -- now if US starts pressuring Japan to start closing Nissan, Honda, etc plants because those companies making a better car is hurting Ford and GM, that will be pretty clear to understand -- so if there was a lobby to fight against the RIAA/MPAA -- we'd see those connections made and the US politicians would get a clue.

    Seriously, if someone asks you to wire them money -- get a clue. Don't blame the bank. Do some research -- say I will need 12 weeks to make sure your check is good. Say I will deposit the money in an escrow account. Seriously folks, why do people blame someone else for their own carelessness. Last time I got paid with a check for an ebay transaction, I asked a Chase bank teller, when will I know that the check has cleared -- she said within a week, then I asked when will I know the check isn't a fake -- she left to check and came back and said that there is no way to tell, but it may take up to 3 months before the check is verified. So ask the right questions, and stop shifting responsibilities on the banks. I mean how many of you want to wait for 3 months for a check to clear. What kind of a rukus would you raise?

    This is funny. Unless you all are living in a fantasy world, and haven't figured out that the ONLY way allofmp3.com exists is because it is mobbed up and the Russian government officials are on the take, so are the russian cops. So I wish RIAA all the luck in the world trying to fight the Russian mob. First this is a fight they can't win, and will end badly for the two morons running the RIAA. Best case scenario (for the RIAA) is that the status quo is mantained. Worst case -- well many scenes from the Godfather come to mind -- ohh, and the Russian mob has proven to be a lot more vicious than the Casa Nostra ever was -- good luck the RIAA -- watching a bully fight wind mills is always fun -- very different than suing 12 year old gilrs.

    Ok, since myspace is priamarily used by the kids well off the 24 demographic this doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm sure there are plenty of other shows that fox could put on myspace which would be more in the age range.

    Honestly this guy is an efing morron. He has no redeming issues to push, so he is harping on "save the children" ohh yea, lets sue someone...google is big blame them. The case will get thrown out, but this dick has made his point got into the press that he is agains child porn -- NO EFIND DUH. So he can go on TV or radio and say I want to protect our children from evil websites and childporn and my oponent is a -- well a petifile. I HATE POLITICIANS.

    Only thing I watch on HBO now days is Bill Maher -- odd how they dont mind getting rich of a Liberatarian, but have the most arcain views on media themselves. I'm gonna send Bill a little note, see if he can take his own network to task for being so stupid.

    I have been a paying HBO customer for almost 10 years and my folks have had hbo for another decade before -- paying for it. I just sent them an e-mail saying that I will cancel my service if something comes out of the Slingbox case. If they get enough e-mails they will get the message. These companies care about public's response to their actions -- RIAA doesnt, but TV networks do. They cancel shows and rework plot lines when they get only a wiff of public disaproval. HBO exists because people may monthly fees. If they sense that this stuff will hurt them more than it will help, they'll wisen up.
