My bet on the next agency is the EPA. My guess is that the new water regulations are going to lead to daily fines for farmers.
You're assuming that the IRS wouldn't lose those assets before you could get your hands on them.
If they fuck up my ability to receive and listen to satellite radio, then yeah I say fuck them.
But I'm also totally fine with Sirius/XM never ever playing these artists' music ever again.
No they're not. If they accomplish anything they'll accomplish getting their music pulled from radio and never played again. To that I say, good riddance and Fuck off.
Attentions Sixties on 6 listeners, due to occurrences beyond our control Sirius/XM will be launching our new station "Screaming Death Metal" on channel 6.
The cognitive dissonance here is almost overwhelming. This event at UNM when looked at in the context of the newly demanded consent guidelines basically boils down to:
Almost anything is accepted
but
Nothing is allowed
I have no idea how the consent rules can actually be billed as "Yes means yes" when they clearly are really more like "Yes means yes until it means no and it can be changed to no at any time".
It is notable that while they apparently had lots of sessions on different sex activities, they didn't have one that discussed consent rules. That is because the consent rules are designed to be indescribable and impossible to logically comprehend.
Ummm, if you're an athlete in an obscure sport that no one watches outside of once every 4 years, and you have a chance to become a household name AND make millions in endorsements for the rest of your life, how are the Olympics a joke for them?
The founding fathers new that laws always tended to trod on human rights. This is why so much of the Bill of Rights is worded, "Congress shall make no law."
Anyone who paid any fucking attention during the 20th century (or studied it) would implicitly understand why human rights laws eventually trample on human rights, there are so many examples to choose from.
Bye bye 50's on 5, 60's on 6, and hello to the new 72 and after on 7.
Sirius XM really has no choice now they really have to just stop playing music older than 72. Cold turkey, don't play any of that shit. Let the "rights holders" for this music just go to hell and collect NOTHING because their music will NEVER BE PLAYED AGAIN.
Fuck them, fuck them, fuck them. The greedy bastards need to be taught a lesson. I am so sick of this greedy shit. Its not about sharing music with the world, its about fucking over the businesses that are promoting your music. The companies and people trying to do this have no soul.
Its kind of ironic that Copyright law was supposed to support the creation and sharing of culture, but in this case the only way to solve it is to lock the pre-72 works away and never listen to them again.
The guy with the tape should melt it down put it in an envelope and send it to the NFL with a note. "Heres your fucking tape with your Superbowl I footage on it, enjoy"
Bono calls music a sacrament and then complains that because he thinks of it like that people should pay for it.
But, when my church gives me communion (an _actual_ sacrament), they don't charge me a dime for it.
Since it appears that Mayday is well on their way to it.
I'll make the prediction now:
Mayday pack will, with their selection of candidates, pick 80% democrats.
Their comments on being nonpartisan have always struck me as being very weak.
I hate things that conflate copyright and patents into the singular header of IP. I'm not sure you can prove that strong copyright laws are truly causing massive damage to industry. There are some instances (pandora, netflix, etc.) where weaker copyright would help them but those companies are still making some headway.
But the pure insane, destructive, evil, horrid bullshit that is software patents is wreaking destructive havoc on the entire industry. Software patents are an innovation destruction machine.
I'll feel much more sympathy for the Palestinians once they drop that "every Jew in Israel must die" bargaining point.
My guess is that data analysis will reveal that commenters favored the FCC going common carrier or implementing strong net neutrality rules by something like 90% to 10%.
Then the FCC will totally ignore the will of the people and implement "fast" (and by default, slow) lanes anyway.
This story just screams something that should have come from the onion.
In fact, depending on what is demanded to be taken down, Europe fighting to have someones comment removed may violate that person's free speech rights in the United States.
Whose laws hold precedent? Does Europe get to violate American's rights to free speech because that have a law that censors that American's speech on the internet?
Re: Hinders Broke the Law
In my opinion, unfounded silly laws that make doing lawful things one way legal and doing them another way illegal, do not deserver to stay laws.
And yes, I am for jury nullification. We have a lot of ricky tacky laws to cross people up. So many that its nearly impossible for citizens to remain lawful no matter how hard they try.
