  Is there a bat-signal for AARP? As I recall, weren't they all over the 'reimportation' issue? Despite the ability of "Big-Pharma" to throw enormous cash at this, I think AARP > NABP when it comes to influence within the hallowed halls of our sewers in DC.

  I have a very cynical view of this process. I wish it wasn't so. Unfortunately, we the people don't 'matter' because we are just 'users'. The paternalism of their way of thinking is utterly disgusting. Even when the voters are engaged about a subject, all to often its to easy to distract with yet another made up reality show... OH! LOOK! Squirrel!!
  The cynic in me says the industry players know how to exploit this ADHD and in the end, this effort will only result in a further ratcheting up of copyright.

  This is another bad ruling by the supreme court (bought and paid for by the corporations).
  
  This probably wasn't the best case to use as a test, but the milk is on the floor now.
  
  My big question is this - why didn't the people opposed to "Franken-foods" get involved in this? With this ruling, the supreme court has basically said that all seeds are subject to patent, therefore all farmers have to use them...

  If I'm physically a resident of the state of California, and am visiting Delaware - I should pay local taxes on purchases for the state of Delaware (like normal) and the state of California??
  If on-line businesses have to figure out where locality taxes apply, then brick and mortar businesses should also... after all its "ONLY FAIR"

  Congress is a cesspool of corruption, cronyism and cash (wow! that's a lot of c-words).
  
  Congress currently has an approval rating somewhere below 10% - which, I would guess, is the ratio of corporations (whose voices do count) to people (whose voices don't count).

  I tend to think this is a case of "projection". The RIAA is taking their "screw your customer" attitude and projecting it on to Pandora.
  Just because they've gotten filthy rich by ripping off their artists, and their customers doesn't mean Pandora has to use the same business model to succeed.
