    AF&T Temper Tantrums AGAIN?

    AT&T is trying to get even for the breakup of its monopoly countrywide into the baby bells. Where are NYNEX or Bell Atlantic or Pacific Tel? Anti-trust is a dirty word around every monopoly. The locations where AT&T doesn't serve is a monopoly for another cable co like Time Warner or Comcast. Aren't these poles on PUBLIC LAND to be used for the PUBLIC GOOD???
    Stupid restrictions prevent me in Palm Springs from getting any other stations outside of Palm Springs market area except for a 2 hour news block in early AM and rush-hour news casts from 5 PM till 7PM, Then these channels become shopping channels, The noon news is actually recycled morning news footage recorded at 8AM. And even says news report is LIVE saying the time is 808AM but in reality the clock reads 1208 PM, We have NO Los Angeles nor San Diego stations, San Diego which is closer, Our FCC need a good enema to get the crappy rulings from interfering with what RATE PAYERS WANT not the garbage packages we are FORCED to BUY. How many are PAYING to see things we dont want? Add on all these stupid fees & rulings from WW2 500 channels with the same thing being broadcast. Remember Bruce Springsteen song. "57 Channels and NOTHING ON..." is still true Now it has expanded to 500 channels and still NOTHING ON!

    US version of a Total Police State

    Does the 4th Amendment still matter to the public? The SCOTUS rulings ,non-rulings especially with a CRIPPLED court, have made most of the 4th amendment moot. Drones with hi-res. camera and cheap light high-powered computers plus facial recognition software makes everyone a target in our now police state. National security is thrown around so lightly to cover nearly every situation. Embarrass a politician, the FBI,local police, National Security is at stake, well anything can be covered by this term. PEOPLE must push back against this THEFT and PERVERSION of our Constitutional RIGHTS. The 9th amendment in the Bill of Rights should be invoked to protect the people over the state and federal authorities.

    NYC has special deal with Albany on laws. They have a great leeway in overriding State law. Big example, handicap parking permit issued by STATE DMV is no good in NYC! You must get a special permit from NYC DOT & examined by their doctors before a permit is issued. NYC needs Albany approval to raise money & increase taxes. That is the ONLY thing that I know of where NYC isn't autonomous legally.
    The cops KNOW the parking laws and think that anyone who fights the ticket will be adjourned to death. The officer will claim he cant show in court because of work, judges, prosecutors cooperate to keep money from ticket, no matter what the law says.
    Each fine amount includes a $15 New York State Criminal Justice surcharge.
    These tickets hit the poor hardest since the fines are so high for minor infractions. $65 is the lowest traffic fine amount! General No Parking: No parking where parking is not allowed by sign, street marking or traffic control device. $65.00
    Parking at a broken or missing meter for longer than the maximum time permitted. $65
    "Feeding Meter" -- parking in a metered space for a consecutive period of time longer than allowed, whether or not an additional coin or coins are deposited or another method of payment is used. $65
    Expired Meter -- parking in a metered space where the meter works and the time has ended. $65

    One item a NYC police precinct commander is measured on is ticket revenue. How much has that precinct contributed to reducing the ballooning budget gap? Otherwise, the property from confiscation from the "drug war" is another source but dangerous to officers. Citizens really have little recourse on fighting a ticket. Traffic court is stacked in favor of the officers and not interested in justice.

    I am a handicap individual, my handicap parking placard is not valid in NYC for parking laws! To get a NYC handicap parking placard, NYC DOT mandates the individual be examined by an NYC-DOT medical doctor somewhere in Brooklyn to determine if you are disabled enough for NYC parking permit which is valid only in the 5 boroughs of NYC ! The City has an enormous power in the state house to be able to bypass what are many parts of state authority. Taxing power, building codes, and parking laws are few to just get started. So cutting a curb could be done by any person, but does not make it a "legal" cut. Hopefully this data will help drivers appeal their summons and get back THEIR money which was illegally taken from drivers. But as we all know New York's finest will get you in the end. Because in NYC there are 2 kind of people, there are those in that Blue uniform who can do no wrong, and the rest of us, perps without uncharged yet. There are no citizens with rights.

    Snowden and Manning are suffering for exposing the LIES, DECEPTION, & stupidity of elected and appointed officials and govt employees of all levels. To get a drivers license we have to jump thru hoops & everything else in our lives is open to the world. There is no privacy and we are giving away our civil rights for safety against terrorism. Doesn't work.

    His reason IS he is a NYPD Detective nothing more is needed. No other justification is needed. Asking why will get you a fat lip or worse. Citizens cannot question COPS, COPS "know" the law and can manipulate it to fit the circumstances. How many UNARMED citizens were shot by cops and every one was "justified". Blacks have experienced this for years, now non-negros , non-whites are getting special treatment by cops. Look at the video, see how shamefully the driver and passenger were treated. Threatened with jail but the cop was in too much of a hurry to harass the driver further. The lucky driver and passenger lived another day to show police work in action. The Police Commissioner also has done everything in his power to keep crime statistics out of the hands of the press and citizens by ignoring FOIA. What is he hiding anyway. NYPOST, DAILY NEWS NYTIMES, WSJ etc. where have you been? Years ago these stats were publish periodically but they did come to light, now a spokesman says dont worry everything is fine. Balderdash is the only word to be used in mixed company about this.

    Got a slap on wrist but STILL IS A NYPD cop.
    He is high up enough to get away with any conduct. Glad the driver was cool enough. Or he would be in the morgue & passenger,too. Dead men tell no tails no witness against the shooter.. There is no justice for the common man.

    Would have Liked an FBI agent as passenger to put this guy in his place. Bratton gave this cop a pass. Cops aren't answerable to the LAWS the way any other taxpayer is. An INDEPENDENT police investigation force is needed to prevent these OUT of Control Officers. Internal Affairs is a joke in almost EVERY police force, FBI included.

    The FCC says most devices must accept any type of interference but were not thinking of any TSA official INTERFERENCE.
    Must I leave my underwear behind(pun intended) if it has skid mark or evidence of explosive discharges? My shoes might be excessively worn too are they next? Where does it stop???

    Follow El Al airlines security. They don't have hijackings, are less invasive of children and their security really works. But they pay their security people a very good salary, live depend on the quality of their work!
