That's what you're missing. People bought CDs back in the day because it was the most viable, easy method to get music. Today, it's not. The consumers have changed the way they listen/obtain music, but the music industry had to be brought kicking and screaming into the new era and they're still fighting to keep the CD model alive, even though it's no longer the most viable, easy way for consumers to get their music.
Law enforcement's job is not to provide "protection," it's to enforce the law. Don't confuse the two.
Allowing pirates to speak different languages only increases piracy because they can steal movies/music in other languages!
Or does it depend on if Mike likes the verdict or not?
But..but, you're teaching kids how to pirate at such a tender age!
Won't anyone think of the children?
Maybe I should start a Keg Party to add some life?
Or improve the content. Most of the stuff they turn out now sucks. Couple that with the higher prices, I'm surprised they made any money.
One of the main purposes of due process is to keep these kind of mistakes from happening. It amazes me that more people don't seem to understand that.
Actually, they're very similar. Both involve deciding whether you want to be a victim or not. While I'm not going to hang around Walmart 'protecting' them, if someone threatens me (verbally or by waving a gun), they better be ready because it's going to be on. Adopting the victim mentality that you advocate only ensures that you will remain a victim.
You might notice that while terrorists have attempted to blow planes up since 9-11, they haven't attempted to take over any planes. Why? Most likely because of what happened on Flight 93 and the terrorists' awareness that it would likely be repeated in the future.
OK, you want to be a victim. I got it. ;)
It's also a win for enabling more crime. If criminals know they can act with impunity, they will.
You can say that again! Oh wait, you did! :D
He still has his vocal cords in place, so no prior restraint issues there, right? He can still make speech. ;)
That "logic" has been bothering me too.
Wow, 9 repeats posts in a thread about a company spamming. I love irony.
That's easy. Mike said it and he don't like Mike. Content doesn't matter.
IRONY:
Criticizing another education system while simultaneously displaying the reading comprehension of a wombat.
I love it.
Or would they cancel each other out and make it legal?
Re: Why is anyone surprised?
The fact that he's an idiot doesn't clear the water any either. ;)
