You're a bigger person than I am. At this point I would happily kick him into the pit like was King Leonidas informing a messenger about exactly which nation-state they are currently standing in.
Remember how so many of our worst family members were all about that "Not my president" bullshit back when Obama took office? I don't make that mistake. The MAGAt Messiah IS my president... and my president is a real piece of shit.
Personally, I just like the idea of having window blinds that automatically go up and down at certain times, or windows that open and close when the temperatures make that useful, or things like that. One of my favorite ideas is having all of the lights in the house start to slowly dim and move to a warmer and warmer color after 9pm, down to about 50% or so and 2400k to help with circadian rhythm. Automatic garden watering based on data from a weather station, locks and garage doors that operate by geofence rules, tons and tons of things. The house doesn't need to be big. I just think it's fun to play with. I just don't want any cloud connection. I want absolute, totalitarian control over the whole system.
This should be an advertisement for more consumer-friendly options like Home Assistant and others built on local servers without the need for cloud integration.
Hey, remember when Kristi Neom tweeted "If Joe Biden federalizes the National Guard, that would be a direct attack on states' rights. Over the last several years, we've seen Democrats try to take away our Freedoms of religion, assembly, and speech. We can't let them take away our right to defend ourselves, too."?
I wonder what she thinks about this? Will she choose Cognitive Dissonence or outright Hypocracy?
Smarter people would've taken a moment to craft the law to make it work one way and not the other. This is basically just Political Judo, using your opponent's weight and momentum against them. Glorious.
The problem with EV sedans and hatchbacks is that there's only three ways to do it. 1) you pack the batteries in every nook and cranny you can build in and get half-assed range, 2) you pack the batteries in a skateboard battery chassis and then have to sit laid out like an F1 driver to save height, or 3) you go with the same skateboard chassis but give the humans a proper seating position and call it a "Crossover SUV". All three options suck.
I've been though all of that as well, from 120 to -40 (different geographic locations, naturally), and I've found that the cold and heat are far less annoying when you finally realize that leather seats suuuuuuuck. Never cared about the cold or the heat much when I had fabric seats. Hot, cold, and humid were all made worse by leather seats. If I had kept the Tacoma I bought a couple years ago, I would've bought or traded for some fabric seats just to make Massachusetts winters less painful.
The problem is that the EPA would likely get all hot and bothered ranting something about enabling emissions defeat devices or some other nonsense and shut that shit down faster than Negan on The Walking Dead.
Not that OEM remote start was ever really a possibility for me since I drive stick shifts, but it wouldn't be the first time I've delved into hard to find wiring diagrams and deleted the vehicle's connection to the hive mind. Did it on my Tacoma the day I bought it.
Thankfully, it's a fad. And one that is being banned in many places quite quickly. I never really understood the style though. Why would you want to draw attention to the fact that your broke-ass could only afford the front half of a BroDozer? It's right up there with Stancing cars or turning a dually into a low-rider. The first rule of modifying a vehicle should be that you are enhancing it's capabilities, not making it terrible at doing anything at all.
"Why not advocate for both?"
I do, always will, but the statement stands as written. If I had to chose between the two, that's what I would prioritize. A heavy vehicle with great visibility is better than a light vehicle with shit visibility. It's one of the reasons I wish we'd go back to "Cab-Over" semi trucks and ban the long-haul, long-nose, hotel-on-wheels semi's we have now. There are hundreds of dashcam videos of semi's pit-maneuvering or rear-ending unsuspecting passenger cars simply because the semi driver can't see shit for 30 feet around the tractor.
I kind of wish he had done a better job of burning it down. As it stands, it's fire damaged but not yet condemned so people just keep using something that was kind of shit before the arsonist did a half-assed job destroying it.

Learn from other's mistakes

So much for The Posse Comitatus Act. The MAGAt Messiah needs to go to prison.

Proof that idiots are in power

Personally, I'd rather got for a good lager or a sour but the same sentiment definitely applies.
Seems like such a waste to go through all this over two shitty IPA's. When will the IPA-is-Life fad die?
Xitter
I do, I just spell it Xitter. It's pronounced the same way though.
I wish there was an edit button
*I only less was being done to keep it on life-support
Let Xitter burn
I don't mourn the death of Xitter. I only wish less was being don't to keep it on life-support.

Have side cutters. Will use 'em.

So predictable
At this point, you can pretty much predict exactly what Musk is going to do simply saying "No you won't" in response to anything he says publicly.
