  The governments of the world are waking up to the fact that their populations do not like business as usual. It comes from a very simple place, they no longer control all access to information.

  I think this is going to be used against any companies that compete with the "Content Industry". Which will backfire far worse than trying to take down ThePirateBay. They obviously haven't heard the phrase, the Streisand Effect.

  I was told that if you add up all the labels profits "all" the artists would have re-cooped over 20 times over. But that is just averages and has nothing to do with reality, and less to do with label accounting.

  You are right that "Free trade doesn't hurt jobs". The issue is that Free trade agreements do hurt jobs. Once you regulate trade with agreements, it becomes something less than free trade. The current batch of free trade agreements are the modern equivalent of the East India Company all over again.
