  The patent office just rubberstamps everything, they don't have time to review the validity of each submitted patent. They're still trying to figure out who approved my patent "Patent #2*35673+π A method for the establishment of a national or international office for the processing and approval of patents".

  No anonymous coward, Mike has already pointed out that people don't have to pay for every use of every event that occurs. He's also pointing out that, according to the RIAA/MIAA, people DO have to pay for every use of every event that occurs, as long as it's them who's getting paid.

  The name of optical fiber is optical fiber, which is the one used in fiber optics. I don't really get what you're getting at with that, othen that "fiber" is also used as a short term for "optical fiber" when talking about networking (unlike "fiber" when used to say, weaving).
