    Razor Blades, Film Cameras

New wonderful 2 (er 3, er 4, er 5) blades in the cartridge!
old razor no good anymore. You must get a new one. By the way, new blades cost $10 ($12, $16, $22) now.

Film camera, low end, not too expensive. Film for camera $8; processing $20.

It's an old model; been around for years.

    Re: Okay...

Thank-you for your ad hominum attack on me and my fellow voters. I am one of those "numbnuts" that voted for President Bush.

I have found, in my numbnut life, that people that make statements like that just don't understand cordiality. Are you a member of that group? While I disagree with you, I would never disparage you or your friends for disagreeing with me. I might not be happy with your decisions (or candidates), but they are yours and you will have to live with them just as I live with mine.

As far as Mr. Greene is concerned, unless you know him well, I would suggest that you refrain from making disparaging remarks about him. It is just not proper!

This article is about the potential of e-voting machines and their possibility (probability?) of fraudulent results, not (at this time) Mr. Greene.

1974--My wife and I found out that we were having a baby. We went Dr. hunting. One of the first questions we asked was "How about the husband in the delivery room?" (This was quite new at the time) Some docs were for it some were not and some would say its okay but there isn't really any room in the changing area. (you see, mothers-to-be were still moved into a surgical suite for deliveries)

Well I guess more and more parents-to-be started demanding that the father be present. Look now--the hospital room you are in is the delivery room and you can have almost anyone you want in the room.

What really decided the issue is that we started going to those doctors and hospitals that supported fathers in the delivery room. Other doctors and hospitals started losing business (read MONEY). Wasn't too long till they all woke up.

It is the same with this--stop supporting the "bad" ones and only go to the doctors that are open with you. Even HMOs have a choice of doctors try hard enough and you will find one that meets your needs.

    Hired and Paid

It seems to me that the "artist" was hired and paid for his work. Where I used to work, that meant that the company owned the copyright, not me. In this case, it seems that the people of the United States, through some organization, hired the artist and paid him for the work, so why don't we own the copyright?

Re: Blogs do not equal actual jouornalism

"...established standard of professionalism and trustworthiness" and "...responsible for the accuracy and quality..." are quite intewresting, if you talking about their editorials (since editorials are OPINION, one can only disagree with them.) All too many times, when I read a NEWS paper, I find that I am reading editorials on pages not labeled as such. Perhaps we, the people, are tiring of this. At least most blogs are honest about their point of view. We, the people, can and should learn how to evaluate what we read and not rely on organizations the try to shape news into their point-of-view.
