The first time I saw one of these was at least 5 years ago. Unfortunately the old guy that had been infected actually paid money out to the extortionists (don't remember what the payment method was) because he was scared/confused/gullible. I've seen it several times since, it's never too hard to clean up.
Where are they? Any video surveillance system I've ever used has them somewhere in-frame on every camera. The lack here would seem to indicate that the footage has been altered in some way to remove them. So we really have no idea how long she was in custody or if this footage cover the entire interrogation.
MySpace should counter sue the partents for negligence. They did not protect their child by paying attention to what she was doing or educating her about the world.
you aren't going to find many people using vonage on dial-up since a broadband connection is reqired for the service and to be effective service you need an always on connection.
I'd have to agree wargamesmovie.com should be perfectly acceptable. It's not as if people going to wargames.com wouldn't notice that it isn't in any way related to the movie. Although i'd think MGM could have bought some advertising space at the top of the page cheaply enough.
I have a better idea, round up and arrest anyone starting a fight, throwing things, stealing a console from and knocking down a lady, or even starting a yelling match. Then when things have calmed divy the bill up amongst the problem causers since they are the ones who could not behave in a civilized manner. Oh and that goes on top of any criminal charges they are responsible for.

Id say that a 16% market share for a company that primarily sells "fringe" products is ample indication that the business model works.
