The problem with this rant is that I am paying half as much for 1 GB fiber and YouTube TV to AT&T and Google than I was paying for Comcast for cable and a much lower bandwidth Internet connection. I am far better off with Comcast.
Definition of "utter nonsense": Anything that leftists don't religiously believe in.
Believing that the NYT is the "paper of record" is laughable.
Allow me to paraphrase the author:
"Enough truth telling! We leftists hate being exposed. It was so much better before the Internet when we just could cover up the bias and people had no means to observe and measure it. Now that the obvious is exposed, we (i.e. the democratic party) can't just make stuff up anymore and claim it is true. It is highly frustrating. But we will keep lying about it with the hope that there are naive fools who will buy into arguments any half way observant person would see through in a millisecond."
The statement about violating the terms of service is laughable, especially when the punishment for violating those terms is selectively enforced.
No surprise to see advocates arguing to have it both ways.
... to pitch as much propaganda as techdirt.
I have zero empathy for China or its whiny apologists.
Their theft of US intellectual property is the biggest transfer of wealth in human history.
I might care about the NYT if I thought they were an actual unbiased news source instead of a bunch of Democratic party shills.
The satellite providers continually raised prices and started cutting service.
What did they expect?
Same with the cable companies.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
Not.
This seems considerably more scientific than does "climate science".
He is not asking tough questions. He is a grandstanding idiot in love with his own voice. CNN should be embarrassed as well. I watched the video. Acosta is not a reporter he is a partisan weasel. Of course, the left loves partisan weasels, so he will have his defenders.
Sounds like the Boy Scouts are well on their way to complete irrelevance.
Lawsuits are a tremendous waste of resources.
We would be far better served if the general public was continually reminded that they're being fed an unending stream of false, biased information that they should always assume is a lie until proven otherwise.
That goes double for social media and "journalists".
No bias because we use algorithms! They're complicated!
Probably the stupidest argument I've seen in some time.
That the left falls for it says more about their collective ability to rationalize their bias than it does about the fairness of search results.
Obviously the Scots have zero actual substance to their culture if they spend time and money worrying about trivialities like this one.
"The problem with these efforts is they routinely run afoul of the Constitution."
As opposed to DACA?
Let's face it, Techdirt cares about constitutionality only when it is convenient, i.e. lines up with leftist policies.
Their "ethics" are strictly situational.
The ruler I use to determine if something is truly earthshaking is if there were any complaints from the media or the usual whiners when Obama was doing the exact same thing.
In this case, as in many, there were only crickets chirping. Hypocrisy in its purest form.
The Purpose...
... of the suit is obvious. It is merely to draw attention to the bias of the Democratic party whores at the NYT.
Looks like it worked great.
