Yeah, it's not a DRM measure. It's easier if you think of D3 as an MMO, just with a small instance sizes. I believe it's not possible to run the game single player. I believe a lot of the logic lives on their servers (much like with WoW). No one cries foul that WoW needs an internet connection.
AC, if the market is so flooded, shouldn't the movie and music industry (and any industry that has pirated material online) be tanking right now? But...they aren't.
