Skip the whine...I think Facebook and McAfee did the right thing. I took a hit and when I tried to logon to Facebook I got a Facebook security which advised me of the virus, then gave me a quick and simple means to remediate the situation in about 3 min. Works for me and I haven't heard a word from McAfee.
I'd like to see McAfee develop a tool which would do a quick scan when a use attempts a logon to a URL or share and upon detecting a virus or malware, cleans it up. The Cloud offers real opportunities such as this, but all in all, I think FB & McAfee took the high ground.
That's because your vendor offered the Post Service as its cheapest ship-to option.
You chose it or it was the only shippng option offered by that vendor.
Don't blame the USPS. Slow and cheap frequently go togather. By the way, mail a letter from Africa or India.
Get back with me on that....

You people think privitization and 'free enterprize' just solves everything. It doesn't. Frankly, I use FedEX for next day pouches and UPS to return cores- which are ALREADY broken. UPS counter service sucks and price ain't everything.
If the sanctity of competetion is so damn important, look at your underwear,TV, computer, our car - and the American jobs that somebody lost for the sake of Free Trade. I'll run my Ford truck against your riceburner anyday.
And don't blame it on the unions either - UPS is union, and FedEx is headed that way. Try to complain about service sometime and see where that gets you.
When the Postal Service was founded over 200 years ago, it was a Cabinet level office. It was a critical function of the greatest importance to everyday life for everyone.
And what the hell's changed?
Back in the 70's when it was decided that the USPS was to either fly or die on its own power, some fresh washed face on an MBA smiled, pumped the air and tantrumed 'Run like a business, dammit!"
Well, sonny, it ain't a business. Its a critical organ business, providers, government and people depend upon and it was never expected to be self-sustaining.People foam at the mouth at rising postage rates and poor service. Uhhh, compared to what? I don't need Saturday service and all that crap in my box called bulk mail is mailed CHEAP - bulk rate. The Postal Service's new "If it Fits, it Ships" is a great move towards better customer service and revenue but we need to abandon this BS that the Post Office is a business. It isn't and it never should have been remodeled as such.Return it to strict government control and forget about digitalizing the mail. I want a Penny's catalog I can take hunting next winter.
Serves him right. I hope he gets hacked, phished and hacked and phished some more. Dumbass. Leave the WEB alone. The Government has fucked up everything innovative, good and decent which has enriched our lives and advanced America's standing in the world community.
That includes Christmas and McDonalds.
Along that line, I'm struggling to understand why we abandoned American exploration of the moon. If memory serves me correctly, for every dollar NASA spends, we see a $1.75 return in employment, science,R&D,engineering, purchasing and a flood of new patents. ever heard of velcro? How about duct tape?
Its sort of like Columbus hitting Puerto Rico the first time, burning his maps and setting sail for Spain.
I could care less about China's oppressive firewall.I hope it closes even more ports and the ones the Chinese government leaves open, we should close.
They steal every piece of software or intellectual property in sight, then wail about their exhaustive counter security. They publish manifesto, one after the other condemning piracy but walk through any market or high end computer store and you won't find a single licensed package -unless its Chinese authored.
F ** k China. Here's why; They're f**king us, and I don't mean the US - us, the rest of the world, the planet. So now THEY'RE " parsing code " to suit themselves.
It's been estimated that less than 15% of all software in China is legal, licensed code. Do the math - that means 85 percent is STOLEN. Now everyone one of us in the business probably has at least one piece of copied software, but we ain't selling it. There are businesses in China and India which sell ONLY illegal, pirated software . Even the damn packaging is counterfeit.Chineese political control and slight-of-hand manipulation over labor, accounting and marketing practices make FAIR competetion and legitimate business opportunities impossible.
China is sucking the planet dry. Just here in the US, we have lost MILLIONS of jobs to China, all in the name of free trade and it's a crock. Me? I becoming more of a protectionist every day. Ever wonder to what the affect Chinese pirating has on other people's livelihoods? How about where you live and work? How about you personally?
