    IF You are a Journalist, we can?t have you to reveal the sexual preferences of employees inside the GCHQ, or the NSA for that matter. But IF You are the GCHQ or the NSA, then it?s absolutely justified and 'constitutional' to go ahead and scoop up all the private data from ordinary innocent citizens (including info about those who are gay), and then abuse and share that data between Government thirdparties.

    I don?t care if the GCHQ are gay or not, but I do care about having a DEMOCRACY that is built by the people, for the people, and NOT by or for some government spy agency.

    Backdoor in Windows ?

    It is all fine that Microsoft says that NSA hacking is unconstitutional. But what about Windows ? The question that remains to be answered is this - we know that the NSA 'helped' Microsoft build certain parts of their code in Windows (apparantly this goes for all versions).

    Now could there be a backdoor built into every single edition of Windows ? If so, then how much will encryption help, if the NSA has a direct 'open line' into every single Windows PC on the planet ?

    As a foreigner I can tell you that i don?t think that you need to worry about overseas friendships between our citizens, nor our governments for that matter :) That said, it will probably take some time before we all get over these revelations. Then hopefully we (our countries/nations) will sit down and have a long talk about human rights and privacy, and how to best solve the problem. Hopefully this will lead to mutual international agreements that will benefit the global community. :)

    Nothing changes..

    The bill includes new funding for technology to combat "insider threats" and leaks of classified information.

    This only shows that nothing is going to change about the way the NSA is doing their surveillance. They are going to 'plug the holes' and continue to do their business the way they have been doing it over the past decade - including hacking into/monitoring and snooping on foreign officials and politicians.

    What a 'sympathetic' way to make good friends.. As a foreigner I am utterly disgusted and so very dissappointed over this. Apparantly the order of the day is, let?s pretend we?re friends, so we can hack you and totally 0wn your privacy. But hey let?s just thank our 'new friends' for their services. Thanks to the NSA, I no longer need to find a cloud storage solution! They already have it backed up in some shitty datacenter somewhere in the desert.
