  There's no way this survives constitutional scrutiny (if it actually becomes law, which seems unlikely).
  I wouldn’t be so sure of it, Masnick. Remember how the European Union managed to pass the Copyright Directive despite the obvious consequences and concerns from both the public and legal experts? Remember how Ajit Pai of the FCC managed to repeal Net Neutrality despite the legal opposition? Odds are that Senator Hawley will find a way to have his fellow party members pass this absurd unconstitutional action. As an American, this is deeply troubling.

  To be fair, some sites will alter the lyrics if there is a cuss-word or any inappropriate hint within the lyrics to make their site more appropriate for kids. They don’t want little kids to be exposed to sheer violence hidden within a song whose lyrics show indications of violence.

  Italy’s version of this punchbag-of-a-Directive has gotten worse thanks to a mistranslation, which will result in all content on the internet to be wiped out, whether it’s legal or not. Needless to say, unless Italy fixes this, there won’t be anything to do on the Internet.
  Not even Chrome’s secret Dino game will relieve their potential boredom.

  What Did You Expect?

  Cable Television isn’t as flexible as streaming services. With companies like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon you can watch any tv show you want without having to worry about the annoyances of satellite dishes that occasionally bug out during a storm. However, even these streaming companies have a flaw of their own. They have the ability to remove a show from their services if they choose to quit showing it on their services. Why would any want their favorite show removed from a streaming service? That’s a rip-off.

  Also, this is my first comment on TechDirt, so I have yet to figure out the kinks and konks of this massive site.
