Isn't it a problem for sites like Tinder and the like that they have more (hetero males, for this case) people looking for dates, than people that want to go with them (with a lot of people looking for something better?) - if these guys keep doing it, will weed out all the sensible people to date, tinder will react, or become irrelevant. But, that does take time, and the abuse in the mean time seems like a good reason for tinder to change.
On the song, it could easily be misheard by Wilma, with only some bits of the melody stuck in her head, then partly mis-remembered, and then morphed with words appropriate to a little baby, to the point of being only tangentially related to the thing that got was sung by Betty, who might not even realize it started as the same song.
UM, didn't the USA gain industrial power in that way in the past? It has been a likely path for other countries in the past too. ones. Ones established, making an effort to ensure everyone, especially upcoming countries follow your rules, is a clear way to delay new competition.
That does not mean that the complaint is invalid, but it does show it is not so clear cut.
I will assume you know the facts better than I, but I do not agree that charging the mother serves any good purpose, and I'd hope a jury would agree.
Charging a mother who's just lost her 1-year old in an accident, doesn't serve anything for anyone, but the cop who'd get to say he wasn't the sole, primary, cause of that accident.
So I guess the message is: if you want it to change, send letter to your congress(wo)man, and get your friends, associated to do the same to urge a change in law. And hope it has some effect?
To add to that, here in the Netherlands, "ministers" (sort of secretaries of state) aren't allowed to take a position in which they directly use the knowledge from their previous job after they step down from their post. They do end up at various consulting firms though, but usually sign documents that say they can't work in the same field they were responsible for for a few years.
High governement officials have similar restrictions, though on a lower level we have had lots of "downsizing" where the work ended up being done by consultants who were the civil servants doing that before said downsizing (for commercial prices paid by local government, of course).
Techdirt has not posted any stories submitted by bosyber.
In a way, this will sort itself out

Re: Re: Re: 'Wait, no, you weren't supposed to use that AGAINST
lol, no, it's not a plotpoint spoiler, that's just part of the worldbuilding really.
