  I have a less harsh punishment in mind - beating the crap out of them, literally. Then, after their wounds heal, they may resume the practice of law, but if they follow their previous path, then fitting them for a wooden kimono would seem appropriate and justifiable.

There's a special place in hell for the POS that committed this crime against humanity, and he should also serve some serious time in a SuperMax being some body builder's shower toy before he gets there. I hope they all burn in hell! Their typical response to every accusation against them is that the accuser is lying. They invented lying, or re-invented it, as far as I'm concerned.   I think they've already done that, and multiple times, of which the Patriot Act is only one shining example. The government truly believes that they can do what they want if they think is "right". However, the meaning of "right" has the usual Humpty Dumpty connotations, in that it means whatever they want it to mean, no more and no less.
  
  I'm no longer a cynic, but a hardcore realist, which to some might appear cynical, and those to whom it appears so are largely apologists for and/or supporters of the current crop of turds in the government. I've abandoned all hope, and am awaiting the inevitable civil unrest that seems to be this country's destiny. The outcome of that will probably make the French Revolution look like an exercise in restraint and compassion.
