    READ IT ALL

Sorry I wasn't here earlier to pitch my coin into the debate. I did follow this story quite closely I think. Yes Lori Drew knoew of Megan's mental issues. The fake JOsh was set up by the immunized Ashley Grills. But so many stated so correctly, these charges had NOTHING ti do with bullying, stalking, manslaughter, or anything else except a violation of the ToS of MySpace. They were the "offended" party, that's why the trial was in LA. But overwhelmingly I keep asking you all where was Tina Meier? She supposedly "closely" monitored and approved of her child's use of the illegal entry to MySpace. She apparently approved of her fragile minded 13 year old girl on medication having a "relationship" with an unknown 16 year old boy. The fact that the boy turned out to be a phoney only emphasizes Tina's mistake. And remember, the suicide took place after an arguement between Tina and MEgan about the youngster not getting Mom;s support over the "breakup" with a 'boy' she never met.

    TINA MEIER

There have been a few references to parental responsibility in the postings here. In so many posts there are none. I believe that Tina failed her daughter miserably and the consequence was the death Megan. Tina approved and encouraged her daughter getting onto a website that she was too young for and allowed her to engage in a "relationship" with "Josh". Josh turned out to be someone he didn't advertise. Not the 16 year old home schooled but the concoction of Ashley grills and or Lori Drew and or her daughter. Could have been a 49 yeard old pedophile but Mom needed someone to give her some relief form the trials of raising a depressed and medicated 13 year old. And "josh" filled the bill. I have young teen granddaughters. NO CHANCE they strike a relationship up under any circumstance that their Mom & Dad don't know exactly who the person is. Tina does her job there are no spite messgaes and maybe Megan is still here. Maybe not. We'll never know.

    WOW!

An overwhelming indictment of the lack of parental actions on behalf of at least Tina Meier. So many blogs run 10-1 and higher against Drew. Finally some common sense topping emotions. Folks, listen, Megan's death was tragic to be sure. But a parent whose actions and inactions provided the opportunity for her daughter to encounter the phantom "Josh" must accept the burden in this case. She allowed Megan to join a site above her actual age and certainly well beyond her mental stability level and then encouraged her daughter to continue this cyber relationship. Depressed and on medication and she does this? I question if Tina was simply looking for someone or something to ease her burden of dealing with Megan's problems. Yes/No to should Drew have been involved at all is a different avenue. But this DA in LA went the wrong way, conviction never stands appeal, that was the fraud here.
