"Pieces redolent with the odor of brothels and bar-rooms, and with a spice of devilry in them, are the popular ones."
Wow!
While being known as quite dissolute type, I am well aware of bar rooms and the spice of devilry.
But I am not (as apparently the writer is!) aware of what the odor of a brothel is.
Nothing really changes when it comes to our so called "ruling class"
Secretary Lawson is not just an advocate for election security....
As Secretary of State, she has worked to educate voters.
Educate voters?
Excuse me, but when I vote I do it of my own volition, it's my choice.
I do not require any "education".
But thanks for the offer
It matters very little when it comes to what company did what and with which government.
The simple word is:
Corruption
and no matter what what your political viewpoint is, this is stealing from the "ordinary man" who does pay his taxes.
You won't allow me to read your content unless I see your unwanted advertising?
Fine.. I'll read up on the subject elsewhere.
Quote: Mayer Amschel Rothschild
"Give me control of a nations money supply, and I care not who makes it’s laws".
Which is precisely what happened.
I watch with great interest as systems like Bitcoin undermine this arrogance.
The fact that this has even been proposed shows the total lack of basic internet awareness of the average UK politician.
This in itself is somewhat worrying.
Living in the UK, I already know that my ISP cannot collect metadata from me because of my habitual use of a VPN service and TOR. Hell, I'm one of the good guys, don't they realise that the bad guys are going to hide themselves even more?
And here we go again with the tried and tested "double standards".. If you are doing no wrong, you have nothing to fear.
So where is the problem?
I do not doubt that there are several videos of me in various states of inebriation on the web and none are of any particular interest to the general public.
The simple fact is that a Law Enforcement Officer's actions should be totally transparent and available for scrutiny.
You are so right. This is something that should be dealt with within "the family". The state has no right at all to interfere
Just a minute
You say
Have you watched any TV shows like "Law & Order"?
If the real prosecutor is anything like the ones on the TV shows, then these kids were probably threatened with a jury trial where there would be the very real possibility of them going to jail for 20 years and being put on the sexual offender registry. Okay, sure, this probably won't happen, but why take the chance when they can get a punishment without jail time and without being put on the registry?
Um.. Your total legal experience is based on the fantasy of TV programmes?
I admire your stupidity.
So it's a pretend documentary with a video game fan bias.
It amused me and it cost me only my time to watch it.
Simple solution. The band play a concert with the brewery supplying the beer. The one that takes the most money keeps the name.
Why not pass on the job to a local university or school as a project?
This would most likely produce a result within a couple of days, cost nothing and provide valuable education to students.
An all round win situation
To forget so much, so regularly seems disturbingly like the onset of Alzheimer's
Quoting alz.org
A type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behaviour.
Should someone with these obvious problems hold such a responsible position?
Take a look back in time.
Possibly WW2, when encrypted messages were vital and broadcast over short wave radio.
These messages were encrypted by the the source.
They did not rely on the medium over which they were sent to perform the encryption, so why the hell do governments assume that "terrorist" messages on the internet are sent in plain text, relying purely on the encryption provided?
The entire world is waiting for the release of USA v2.1
I saw a similar thing that showed a picture of the Challenger explosion with the caption "Things that they wished they never said, "Come on lads, let the lady have a drive""
Distasteful and sexist yes.. but illegal?
The one thing we do not need are Orwellian thought police
Lets be fair.
Sony have a reputation of having very poor IT security. They have been hacked so many times.
They have also attempted to hack their own customers with disgraceful attempts to put easily discovered rootkits on their retail products.
What I do not understand is why the American government is making such a massive issue of this, when Sony is basically a Japanese company with an american subsidiary.
Possibly donations
The one thing that has struck me about this is why is the USA government getting involved in this issue?
First of all Sony is a Japanese based company, and yes it does have USA based subsidiaries,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony
But an attack on Sony is an attack on a foreign based company, not an attack on the USA.
So why does the USA government give so much priority to this?
The stink of corruption is overwhelming
Silly, Stupid and Pointless
It seems that the salaries in the top echelon of the Red Cross are now matching corporate level status and attracting the idiots that think that "the brand" must be protected no matter what the cost. I still donate, but I expect the money to go to the needy.
I may have to have a rethink as I see no need to fund shyster "lawyers" bringing absurd lawsuits.
