Non-compliance just begs for a class-action lawsuit.
The first amendment does protect you for that, but you still lose money defending yourself. 230 was intended to prevent frivolous those lawsuits that ultimately would lose, by shutting them down right off.
Call it algorithmic weighting to be more accurate. ALL content on tiktok/youtube/FB is algorithmically weighted plus or minus depending on whether they think you would want to see it. If weighting loses 230 protection that means they are no longer protected from frivolous lawsuits, which is really what 230 is about.
Its a ripoff to the original owner as well. They bought that bike with the understanding that if they didnt like it or got tired of it they could sell it on ebay. Now the corp is reducing that re-salability on items that were already bought and paid for.
I tried to google how big a company this is to determine whether this is just a slap on the wrist or something thats gonna hurt, but couldnt find the answer. Anyone have a link to that info?
Albertsons has been on the verge of bankruptcy for several years now. Id think that a merger would be better for consumers and workers than them just shutting their stores completely. Is there a 3rd option Im missing?
(reposting after post failed to post) Its not a loss so long as Muck continues to make the required payments. They could have made more if they hadnt done it simply because interest rates went up, but that doesnt make it a loss.
Even if the banks dont like holding on to the loans its still not a loss if Musk makes his payments on time. They could have made more if they had not done it simply because interest rates went up, but that still doesnt make it a loss.
If anything, showing his vids on tv would help him market vids, not hurt it. Its basically free advertising. The only thing it hurt is his political rep.
How large is that environmental impact compared to the constantly incoming meteorites?
AI is like a hooker. Use it, enjoy it, but dont trust it.
Even with GARM gone they are still getting sued. Likely they will win, but I dont think dismantling GARM gives them much if any advantage.
A mouse that needs internet access to prove your subscription is still current. lol
I thought the US had the right of veto in the UN. Or is this one of those deals where only the ones signing it are bound by it?
"Suzuki's own expert witnesses testified the automaker was aware of 213 deaths and 8,200 injuries involving Suzuki Samurai rollovers." And then they have the nerve to complain about the reporting that they have a rollover problem.
Suing GARM is like suing Consumer Reports for telling consumers that Samsung is not very reliable.
Then on the way home he got pulled over while driving through a high crime area, and his cash was confiscated. JK
"From the beginning, I thought this was a particularly weak antitrust case (apparently I was wrong!)." The strength of the case is only proven if it survives appeal.
