More Bogus Internet Companies
from the guess-it-wasn't-so-original-after-all dept
Earlier this week I posted an article about HeyIdiot.com and complained they were simply stealing my idea for mikesretirment.com. Apparently neither of us was being that original, as the San Jose Mercury news already has been working on ETattler.com. So, when Dan Gillmor of the Merc found out about HeyIdiot.com, he was noticeably pissed. I wish him luck in his endeavors against HeyIdiot.com, but let’s face it, if you’ve got a hot idea in the internet space, it’s only a matter of time before someone else has the same great idea…

bogus ?
with all the press, pretty soon, these sites will garner enough traffic that somebody might want to advertise on them… and with advertising revenue, more bogus sites can be created, which will generate more traffic and more advertising revenue… and someday, a giant portal will realize that people really dig bogus sites and you can imagine the rest.
