SpamCop Getting Bought?

from the more-up-time-would-be-good... dept

Apparently, SpamCop is in the process of being bought by IronPort, which would give it much needed financial backing. I’ve been a fan of SpamCop since early on, and it still filters out the vast majority of the spam I receive. However, it was always a small time operation that occasionally collapsed under its own weight – or via the additional pressure put on it by angry spammers. They’ve also had problems in the past in dealing with people being unfairly put on their blacklist – with no clear appeals process. However, with corporate backing, hopefully, these problems can be worked out.
