If you haven’t seen anything with “ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US” in the last few days, then you haven’t been surfing enough. It’s been appearing on webpages, in newsgroups, in disucssions, on mailing lists… just about everywhere. And now the press is finally writing about it. Salon mentioned it a few days ago, and now the Register is talking about it complete with some pictures. It’s one of the weirder internet cult phenomenons, and no one seems to have figured out exactly what’s going on yet.

in this case, it is warranted. the clip is over a year old.

The clip? The game is a lot older than that. But, the fact that it’s showing up EVERYWHERE is a very recent thing. And, it’s only just now being reported on. So, I consider this current news.

the clip i was referring to was the flash animation which created all this buzz about a year ago. none of the mainstream “news” sites had covered it. i guess it is hitting critical mass now.
